While one guy wants to "take a swing" at obama, thousands want to riot and assasinate Romney
 

Sure, I don't think that it's good that someone wants to punch the president for calling his father a liar, but then why isn't THIS story big news I wonder?

Recently, Twitter users began posting comments saying that if President Obama loses reelection next month that they would riot. The posts, written in terribly poor English and at times difficult to read, have been posted by thousands of different Twitter users, all of whom have posted various times in the past, proving that the posts are from real people and not fake accounts.

The reason for the calls for violence is apparently because these users believe that Romney will end welfare programs.

Here is a short list of the numerous posts which were collected by Paul Joseph Watson:

The calls for violence don?t end with just wanting to riot. Obama supporters on Twitter have also begun calling for the assassination of Romney. Twitchy collected a number of these threats and posted them on Sunday.

Many more have appeared since Twichy?s report. After Tuesday night?s debate, further calls for assassination appeared. Twitchy again collected many of them.

No repercussions have come to these posters, even though people who make negative remarks about Obama will get visits from the Secret Service.

Further, it?s apparently racist to point out these calls for violence. After the Drudge Report posted stories from InfoWars about these tweets, left-wing group Think Progress accused the Web sites of ?stirring up...(a) race-baiting conspiracy theory,? seemingly ignoring the actual comments from the Twitter users. According to Think Progress, InfoWars has been saying that black people will riot, which is not what the Web site's writers have said, and the people who have been posting these tweets are both black and white. Apparently, the people in the wrong aren?t those calling for violence but those calling them out for it."

Your right, I think I will pick up a gun this weekend. If something happens to my new Mercedes with me in it I'm going to treat it as a threat to my life.

It's likely that a lot of tweets are made, by both sides, to discredit the other side. However, dumb fucks have always said dumb things without thinking. Twitter just increases their potential audience from a couple of drunk friends in a bar to the whole world. If these Tweets were even remotely genuine or credible threats, the authors would be arrested within hours.
