if you gift something nice to a larger client but just a card to a smaller client people tend to get upset.

The reason you should use them is their throughput is much better than ccbill and better retention too. I get my clients to put them first in the cascade. Not one has reverted back to ccbill. Not one.

The gift is nice, the increased revenue is better!

Of course he can thank them. But why must he do so publicly? Again, that just opens up the "wait he got that, but I only got this" can of worms.
I doubt Epoch themselves appreciate this thread, because now it's transparent that they give different gifts in preferential order. If Damian wanted to "thank" them, what's wrong with just thanking them directly? ...rather than starting a thread about it so he can gloat and the others that only got a card can feel inferior.

Again, I have nothing to do with Epoch personally, so I'm not upset in the least, but don't you think Damian comes across as a bit Holier-than-thou with comments like the above? I don't think that's what Epoch had in mind when sending out gifts, that people like Damian would turn it into a popularity contest.
