he's confused. this was a tragedy to americans even before the body count was released.

the problem is, as i see it, people EVERYWHERE think it's ok to react to tragedy with revenge/retaliation. so when we find out who did something, we don't just go get them and bring them to justice, we go kill them, their children, brothers and sisters, parents, pets and burn their house down.

that's the part that's wrong. that's what he needs to direct his rant towards.

Yep. If the killer/s had used guns instead of bombs they not only could have killed more people (this was hardly a "massacre") but nobody would have really given much of a shit, since it happens all the time.

Saying that I don't think when viewed in comparison to worldwide issues the bombings really are a big deal (except for those directly effected of course) but that doesn't change the fact that the guy sounds like a real ass and is trying to come across as a moral superior when he clearly isn't.

it is not about how many people died. More die in car crashes each day but they know the risk they take when driving, just like most other things but people do not expect to die from a bomb or planes crashing into buildings or even some guy who just walks up to you and shoots your baby in the face.
