Affiliate Program Owners: $$$ In here

I'm looking for a few affiliate programs to help Beta-test a new service that captures and saves "Form drops"

What are Form drops?

Form drops are users who partially complete a join form on your website but close the browser or back-out before clicking submit.

We are able to capture these users and dispatch a customized email offer encouraging them to complete their signup on your website. Even if the user doesn't act on that offer, you will have the users information and can market to him in the future.

Initial results on several NATS based affiliates programs are showing a sales increase of up to 15% in the first 30 days.

Email me ( mike--at--leadwrench.com ) for more information.

Not in a position to beta & give you enough workable data, but I would love to hear more about it once you're closer to a public launch.

Sharky,

You are capturing the email during the sign up form process and they never actually agree to the mailing. Do we have to put a disclaimer on the sign up form page that we are capturing your data to stay complaint?

Good question Chris. I'm not an attorney, so I can't give legal advice. A disclaimer is not a bad idea if you plan on re-marketing to the user in the future. It's my understanding that one is not needed if there is a single email being sent to recapture the dropped/lost user.

WetandPuffy 06-18-2013 07:47 PM

Liking the sound of this, please hit me up

some sponsor used this technique previously in old days , and all were calling them shady.

signs of time.

Yeah, and I'm SURE you will only send the customer one email, and never resell the list :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
Those domain better use third domain when sending out these emails, because Spamhause will block that shit in a heartbeat.

You can't market to him because he never agreed to receive offers from you.

What you are proposing is called spam and it's a felony.

I don't remember anyone doing this in the past. Regardless, it's a great idea being used by companies like Amazon, Netflix, etc.

Which state are you licensed to practice law?

You cant do it, because its wont count as a "relationship" message, unless they have pressed a "submit" button, or have been warned in advance, that filling out the form will count as a submit.

Now that is some out of the box thinking.
Very smart!

Konda 06-19-2013 07:15 AM

This is nothing new, and very easy to add to your forms, no need to use a third party solution for something this simple. Any programmer can set up something like this in 30 minutes.

Jman 06-19-2013 07:22 AM

I been mailing for quite some time now and under canadian law we could not touch this at all. Falls straight under spam.

Good luck and hope it does well for you guys.

AlfalfaReborn 06-19-2013 11:16 AM

Just emailed you. Looking forward to hearing back.

Yep just add ajax call to form and that's it ,nothing easier then that.

Chris 06-19-2013 11:22 AM

Another question sharky

How is the data stored? Is it sent out to an api of our choice like mailchimp or aweber? Or is it stored on your servers and we download the file or stored on our own servers?

Thanks. We're looking for a few good Beta testers now who can provide the volume needed to find any remaining bugs or feature requests...

Thanks Jman. I'm not going to argue legalities here as I am not a lawyer.

O MARINA 06-20-2013 09:00 AM

Mike I was going to hijack your thread since all the Affiliate Program owners are up in here but here is a bump instead : D

Mark.Roy 06-20-2013 10:15 AM

This comes under spam unless, you dont show them prices before and ask them for their email only, on first page with terms to approve and on second page payment options.

but without hitting submit i guess, it would cause trouble.

anyways good luck.

I went to register for a Mainstream convention today and stopped before clicking submit. I ended up getting side-tracked and closed the browser when I left the office for the day. By the time I made it home there was this email in my inbox:

We are not reinventing the wheel here. We are applying a proven process to a new business model.

I know a guy who works for a company that does this for HUGE (the largest) mainstream sites. It def works!

topsiteking 06-21-2013 11:56 PM

I'll be in contact.

PornDiscounts-V 06-22-2013 12:23 AM

There is the letter and the spirit of the law. By the letter future marketing would be illegal. By the spirit, helping somebody to finish a process they already started is called common courtesy.
