Are you kidding? Most people DO have 2 photo ids. Goverment ID (or driving licence) and passport.

Seriously yeah it's a hassle and I agree about the ID policy. Real criminals can fake this stuff anyway. All it does is keep honest people honest. Going overboard with it helps very little but annoys a lot.

I literally do not even have one valid photo ID. I haven't driven in many years so have no valid drivers license and I've never had a passport or college ID or anything else with a picture and a signature. Luckily nobody ever asks to see one. Not sure what I'd do other than shrug my shoulders and say sorry, don't have one to show you.

Most countries are pretty small so passports are super common. I could drive for 5 or 6 days straight and never leave my country though, so can't imagine why I'd need a passport. It also takes what.. a year to get one in the US?

Oh it's great for sponsors, big companies, and reps sending hundreds of thousands a month to others who use their corporate IDs. But for individuals they are a huge pain in the ass.

On every single credit card demand form it's ask the SSN so are you telling us that Royal Bank, MBNA (which I get a form mailled every 2 week), CIBC etc... are all doing something illegal on all credit card form?

If they are trying to figure a way to accept you by asking you your SSN and you don't want take that opportunity it's up to you but stop crying on board that they are doing something illegal when it's not!

lol, you dont need a passport in most european countries since there are no borders anymore. i can drive through 10-15 countries without being stopped once

but in all countries besides England photo IDs are mandatory (i think) - but not passports

Our card issuer is currently rejecting Drivers Licenses as primary ID as they are not classified as primary ID with them due to local laws. It is not an official ID there and that is the same in some countries. The US and Canada are an exception as these countries don't have a national ID provided as standard issue to citizens. For example, everyone in Europe does.

If you don't have a photo ID such as a passport we will accept a SSN/SIN as primary and a DL as secondary in such circumstances. For Canadian Residents we will also accept Medicare in place of SSN/SIN.

Best-in-BC, you had asked me about your Firearms License, and that is acceptable as a secondary ID but would not be enough submitted with your DL since both are secondary ID's and we require at least one primary ID.

Do you have medicare that you can provide to us? If you can, please take a scan/photo and submit it through your account in My Account >> Profile Settings >> Identity Confirmation

If you have one, we do also accept Canadian Citizenship Cards

Oh, you didn't notice that Paxum is no longer a Canadian company, but is now based in Belize? Noticed that right around the drama threads of having to send wires to Romania or other places that didn't make sense.
