Ukraine bans foreigners for ?security reasons? as protests continue

Ukraine has temporarily banned a number of foreign citizens from entering its territory over ?national security? concerns. The move comes amid ongoing mass rallies, with thousands of pro-EU demonstrators demanding the government?s resignation.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) said that in November-December 2013, in accordance with the law and ?in the interests of ensuring Ukraine's national security,? it made the decision to ?temporarily ban? a number of foreign nationals from entering the country.

The decision to close the country?s door to each of those persons was made individually, rather than under a so-called ?blacklist,? the SBU said in a Wednesday statement, as quoted by Interfax Ukraine news agency.

The SBU has not specified who has been temporarily denied entry into Ukraine.

Join the EU? WTF are you talking about? Is there any EU member who has heard about it and what 45 million Ukraine to join? They (the Ukrainians) may want to live on the Moon, but it has nothing to do with the reality. Turkey has an association relationship with the EU for many years. Has it joined the EU? Will it join in today, tomorrow or after tomorrow? I bet the EU people feel more than enough from Polish, Bulgarian, Romanian, Latvian and Estonian beggars to accept one more sinking country. Especially such a big one as Ukraine.

Unlike in America where people just allow the govt to do whatever they want, well in much of Europe and the sounding areas in this example Ukraine, they go to the streets and tell the government to go fuck themselves when the govt does things that the people don't approve of.

Most of those ex yugoslav republic, dont have a choice about getting in EU ,they are forced in and money is sucked out .Also, puppet governments won't do basic thing and that is to put idea on voting.

Ukraine is big country and so small % of people protesting say enough about what they think.Sadly, they don't learn on others mistakes. Been there, done that and protesting and demonstrating was biggest mistake ever, that people will see in coming years and then, it will be too late.

Once again, nobody in EU wants Ukraine to be joined. They have enough problems without 45 millions of poor people and a territory with destroyed infrastructure.

They only were suggested to be "associated". This is something that Turkey did a long time ago. As you may note (uneducated moron), this hasn't helped Turkey to join the EU.

BTW, personally I have nothing against Ukraine to be associated with or even joined the EU. Course if the Ukrainian nation wants it. Why not? I don't live on Ukraine so I don't care. Maybe Putin cares about it, but I don't care about his cares too. I never voted for him and even don't consider him legitimate :2 cents:

Actually the Ukrainians are split down the middle when it comes to joining the EU (according to recent poll results), but the protests went way beyond that issue I think.
