No Longer with Twistys & Mindgeek
Dropping in to say I decided to leave Twistys and Mindgeek after more than 3 years. I started under Shap and tried to run Twistys as he ran it for so many years once Fabian made the acquisition, using the same producers & photographers I did my best to maintain the high level Twistys was known for.
With the recent company ownership and management changes in October and the changes in my responsibilities and duties it made staying with Twistys not something I could see myself continuing with. No drama, Manwin was actually a good company to work for and many of the people there are very nice people, you all know many of them yourselves. I wish Twistys much success moving forward. I have no plans right now for the future but I will be at the Phoenix Forum in 2 weeks to hang out. :thumbsup |
now that's surprising, at least from my point of view
good luck in the future, hope to see you again at one of the shows in the future (not Phoenix though) |
have luck in whatever you do in future :)

Damn...Good luck Rob !
Sens still suck ;) |
Wow, that's too bad. It will be interesting to see how the customers react.
Let's be honest here, the quality of the content (editing) has been absolutely abysmal -- and that's being kind -- since the original Twistys photo editing people in Toronto were let go. Heck even some of the models in the Twistys forums mentioned how poor the quality was of their sets. The new Photoshop editors Twistys hired were just starting to get at least somewhat reasonable, but I saw where they still had to go back and re-edit entire sets to make them presentable. I wonder if they'll stop bothering trying to ensure quality editing standards now that you are gone. Time will tell I guess. Good luck Rob with your new chapter. Thankfully Nancy is still at Twistys. |

Yea it was some trying times there which can be expected with an entirely new editing team. That started in November/December but the editors have gotten a lot better since then and are learning. They have a new girl, a former photographer, and from little I saw of her work it was top notch so far. |

Good luck Rob.

Oh wow, best of luck Rob

|
Best of luck as your new future unfolds. A class act for sure.

Rob,
You are certainly the best producer I have worked with in this industry. :thumbsup Having you as my direct contact at Babes.com made my life so much easier. As a director/ content producer it is rare you have someone on the client end that understands production, knows about the models, and just gets it. :2 cents: I always felt we were on the same page and I fear things will not be the same at Mindgeek now that you are gone. :helpme Great job with Twistys and Babes and I look forward to working with you again in the near future :) |
Rob you did an awesome job.
Being a free agent just before Phoenix is pretty good timing if you ask me :) |
best of luck, Rob..
do you have any of your old sites left ? |

whomever hires Rob gets a free r sidebar ad for 3 months on mikesouth.com (so long as they arent a manwin owned company) So Nurgle have you gotten any peanuts from sucking manwins asshole? |
your a joke Mike, u were actually personally targeting an employee on that story. No highlighting, or doing some hard hitting journalism (which you appear to be incapable of doing)
I certainly earn some peanuts from Manwin, but quite happy with the beer money i earn everywhere else too. Unlike yourself who relies it appears 100% on manwin to earn a $ these days, even if they dont pay you directly. |
Best of luck :thumbsup
|
Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it. :)

Future plans? Not looking for another "job" unless it was a fantastic one. Really looking more to do something on my own like I did for 8 years before working for Twistys. Maybe even start something new even but that takes more money than I have right now lol |
