Celebrities charge when they need the $$. I had a friend that ran a celebrity appearance show in SM. Most celebrities like sports stars run out of movie pretty quickly once their careers slow down. They don't save.

People think all pornstars are worth millions as well. I think I have one pornstar client that is well situated financially.

It's very expensive to live in LA, not work that much and try to keep up "appearances" of being a star. I know of one star that had a Starbucks tab of about $1500 a month. That's a mortgage or rent for most people. For her it was coffee.

Most sports stars and pornstars have pretty short careers and the pornstars often don't make as much as some people might think they do. Stallone, on the other hand, is another. According to The Richest he has made no less than $12 million dollars per year every year since 1984 and he has made around $60 million over the last few years just from the Expendables movies. This likely doesn't include residual checks that are likely pretty sweet, commercials, endorsements or anything else.

I suppose it is possible that he spends it as fast as he makes it, but I have a feeling he is pretty well off.

The things you have to factor in are taxes, agents, publicists, managers...I have not checked to see who he has and how many but the numbers he brings in are not the numbers he gets to keep. Throw in divorces, real estate, bad investments, like Nick Cage, and stars work most often cause they have to.

No, not worth it. I paid $80 or so to get a picture of me with William Shatner and Patrick Stewart, and it was a rip off. You can't talk to them, touch them, etc. You stand behind them, CLICK, walk off.

If you want a better fan experience, pay for a personal autograph instead. You get to say hello, shake hands, etc.

I have a couple from the stars of Battlestar Galactica, Tom Savini (and favourite from Chistopher Lloyd). Each of them were very talkative, and took the time to actually MEET the fanboy that was me. Good times and worth the money.
