Looks like someone was speeding, and someone wasn't totally looking before they pulled out. So maybe there's a little bit of fault to go around.

badgirlfilms 10-13-2014 06:18 PM

I pulled the fuck out didn't see him flying...they were able to drive away

I understand that it sucks when someone is going faster than they should be -- but did you look in that direction before bringing the car into the road? When you saw the car coming, did you just want to see if the Mustang could hold up to the impact? Was it a science experiment?

Sorry, just having a little fun with you. Glad you didn't get seriously hurt.

GAMEFINEST 10-13-2014 06:40 PM

damn man, sorry to hear that ..

georgeyw 10-13-2014 07:16 PM

When did mustangs become 4wd?

They would more than likely fix that over here, looks like it is mainly panel damage.

The silver one.

ErectMedia 10-13-2014 07:33 PM

That blows. Mustang was gonna be my next car but too many potholes and bad weather here to enjoy a stang enough. Thinking get off the ground a bit with some larger tires= maybe Jeep Wrangler.

How old is that car? I don't hardly see any damage that would cause it to be totaled. In 1989 I took a 88' Beretta GT and gave the keys to a buddy and he hit a telephone pole at 90MPH going backwards (spinning mid air). The cut off to total the car was $10k and the estimates were all under 9k. After it was all said in done they put $13k into it by welding on a different sub frame Beretta to the back. The car was never the same and we sold it a few mos later.

I see about 4-7k in damage there if the frame isn't bent. Upper and lower front control arms bend very easy and are easy to replace.

Glad everyone is OK

yeah if it's something minor go ahead and fix it, but if someone really fucks me up I'd be kinda hoping it's totaled or adding some additional dents of my own as shit will never be the same. :2 cents:

Spunky 10-13-2014 08:22 PM

Don't think that's a write off,will once again be a nice car

KillerK 10-13-2014 08:29 PM

Haha, my first car was an 88 Beretta GT. Dark blue. I hit a phone pole as well and the car wasn't the same after that crash either.

So you still didn't explain where you derived that his Mustang is supposedly a 4 wheel drive. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I was thinking along the lines of drive axle, fronts are hubs/spindles to me however you are correct, it is an axle, hub axle.

NaughtyRob 10-13-2014 11:07 PM

Damn! Sux ass.

FWD would be more likely than 4WD :2 cents:

k0nr4d 10-14-2014 01:07 AM

That's fuck all damage... Used door, used front fender, hammer out the rear fender, some suspension work, new used wheel, alignment... I don't know how much that thing costs over there or what year it is, but it's not much damage.

nico-t 10-14-2014 03:17 AM

just hope it's totalled > get insurance money > get a charger. Those mustangs are ugly as fuck.

lock 10-14-2014 03:29 AM

looks fixable to me new tie rods and lower control arm it is steering. What front axel it is RWD you will be back on road.

romeo22 10-14-2014 03:29 AM

you had lock this time.watch out

badgirlfilms 10-14-2014 06:01 AM

Hope she's fixable...2005 less than 90k miles, bought her new. :(

TheLegacy 10-14-2014 06:12 AM

Strange - I had a Mustang GT with more damage than that to the front end - the insurance company fixed it up within a few weeks

That might get written off then, labour is expensive there, and those things cost like $10-12k in europe at most for a 2005

michael.kickass 10-14-2014 06:55 AM

Oh man, that's one ugly scratch! :(

Choopa Phil 10-14-2014 07:51 AM

Take it to the metal recycle, you'll at least get $1500..

Seth Manson 10-14-2014 12:36 PM

If the insurance company decides to fix it, do not sign off on the repair until you are 100% satisfied with the work done and how the car is afterwards. Be sure to let the insurance adjuster know that you will not sign off until you are 100% satisfied, and dont let them try to be tricky or pushy about it. It's your right to be 100% satisfied with the repair, you do not have to settle for mismatched-paint or a car that drives differently after being repaired.
