Growing up with the original series, playing with the toys, acting out scenes when I was 5 years old and fighting Vader with a broom stick my dad cut and painted for me.... I can't help but get super fucking excited for the next movie!

I am thinking there must be a small story behind the new looking saber. Its not Smooth like the others. almost crude.

I saw starwars the day it opened. My brother and I were first in line for the first showing. Maybe 45 people total. The next showing was sold out and for the next 2 or 3 weeks it was sold out on every showing including extra screenings.

I honestly can not wait for this one either.

yeah, i thought the darth maul double ended one was pretty stupid at first too. The differences grow on you though.. Like you said, hard to be worse than those prequels and Lucas' all but removal from the films is a huge upgrade in itself. They also hired the writer of Empire back..

That's what I thought - It doesn't make any sense - Also not a lot of in space action - There is nothing more boring than watching someone lost in a desert or on an ice sheet...

What would impress me about Episode 7, is if Abrams can capture the "spirit" of the original trilogy, instead of trying to inject his own style into this one. Yes we get that CGI has come a long way since Lucas formed ILM, but if Lucas proved anything that should be taken away from anything after Empire, is that adding more effects actually gets in the way of the story.

Looks pretty good. It shouldn't be too hard to improve over the prequel series.

I'm hoping that this will be pretty easy for him to do especially since he has the original cast to work with.

The director Abrahams did a great job capturing the spirit of Star Trek with his first movie, but lost it completely with the second movie.

The new Star Wars looks fucking awesome. Very exciting trailer. It looks a little JJ Abraham'ish with the shaky camera, but fortunately it looks like he decided to drop uncessary lens flares this time around.

I loved Star Wars 1,2 and 3 (Episodes 4, 5 6), but didn't care for the others.

There are hidden Mickey's in just about every Disney Film. Troy: Legacy had 2. I wonder if there will be any in the new Star Wars?

I'm sure it'll end up being great..but, w/ that trailer, I hope the audience awakens....

JJ thinks flying really close to the ground looks cool! The saber with the cross guards looks silly and more dangerous to the user than useful. The rolling droid reminds me of the cutesy stuff everyone hated in the prequels and remakes. Cute girl.

Stormtroopers are clones. THAT is who they cloned after they already had a clone of Jango Fett? He has an under bite, bad teeth, a huge nose, and obviously doesn't adapt well to the heat. Horrible specimen to clone. :2 cents:

Jango Fett was played by a Maori - He would be classed as 'black' as well in NZ...

the originals were clones, after the clone wars they were recruited men.

30 years later this movie takes place. The Galactic Empire is supposedly done, so it's not like they had thousands of ex-troopers hanging about. Unless they enlisted boat loads humans across the galaxy in secrecy without anyone finding out, these new guys are clones.

That would be more believable. Didn't think about that possibility.

Hmmmm. I'm a huge Star Wars fan but............ i kinda fear the worst.

Last 3 movies were horrible. Ok the last part had a couple of decent moments. But i just fear this will be more of the same. CGI in almost every scene. And very little feel for the characters and storyline.

I hope i'm wrong but, we shall see...

JJ already said this movie will take place 30 years after Return Of The Jedi. While they did write everything new, they can't go completely off base or it won't make sense.

Got the Box set but only one I occasionally pull out and re-watch is Return Of The Jedi
