#1 Porn Star Recruitment Site For Sale
Hey everyone,
Before anyone flames me, Eric knows I am posting this thread here instead of the BST section because I am going to be buying a sticky thread. My name is Ryan and I own the largest porn star recruitment site on the internet. I am currently in the process of auctioning off my site on Flippa. My site is ranked #1 on Google, Bing, Yahoo, and all the major search engines for high search volume terms such as "how to become a porn star", "porn star application", and many other keywords (See Google Analytics overview video below for more info). I'm currently receiving just under 50,000 unique visitors per month and have anywhere from 50 to 150 people submitting my online porn star application every day. The application is 5 pages long and the information collected is very detailed. You can see what type of information is collected by watching the Application Overview video below. Video Walkthroughs: Application Overview: https://youtu.be/oCnZdfAR6no Female Application (Detailed): https://youtu.be/vbjMkirKldQ Female Applicants (Quick View): https://youtu.be/JrM6dCfZpfM Proof of Application Volume: https://youtu.be/JLaGW0KHSEI Proof of Google Rankings: https://youtu.be/IDwrmvjAeaU Brief Google Analytics Walkthrough: http://youtu.be/VWDF-oKBo8c Link To The Auction: https://flippa.com/5313409-1-porn-st...ations-per-day Please give me your email address if you would like to be added to Google Analytics. About The Site: As you can see from the videos above, the site is WordPress based and uses GravityForms to manage all the forms on the website. There are currently a little over 20,000 applications in the database. About 2,500 of those are from when the website was first ranked for a couple months back in 2012, the rest are fresh. Not all applicants submit photos with their applications but the majority of them do. Out of the 20,000 applications, I would estimate that 1/3 of the applicants are women and the other 2/3rd are male and tranny. There are also around 3,500 emails from people who are interested in joining a porn forum although one has not yet been created (See the Forum page on the site). Monetization: This site has barely been monetized due to me having a regular job and my wife being uncomfortable with the whole thing. I've never called or followed up with a single applicant. Right now, after someone applies they are taken to https://www.pornhowto.com/application/received where they are told they should sign up as a webcam model and that's it. I have sent out a few email blasts asking people to sign up as cam models through my affiliate link but that's it and it's only been 1 email per applicant. I had to remove the Crakrevenue ads I had on the site to be compliant with Flippa's TOS but they were generating me ~$5/day through Slutroulette. I was also making a couple hundred dollars every 2 weeks through Chaturbate in $1 sign ups and $50 cam model referrals. Chaturbate switched my account to 20% revshare a couple months ago because I was sending them so many people that weren't buying tokens so I pulled their ads and replaced them with Jasmin ads (the people I was sending to Chaturbate want to make money, not spend it). I honestly consider this site pre-revenue because I never really monetized it properly. Someone could make a lot of money if they set up a sales funnel and actually interacted with the applicants on a personal level. The majority of the people who apply seem pretty desperate so I think it would be pretty easy to persuade them to work for your cam studio while you "find them work". Other monetization angles I've thought of but have never implemented include charging an application fee for males, selling penis enlargement pills/devices to anyone who lists their dick size under X", selling sexual health related pharmaceuticals (i.e. viagra, cialis, etc), creating a 'Hire A Pornstar' page, and networking with people in the adult industry to actually try to get the hot female or gay and transgender applicants hooked up with a modeling agency or adult talent agency. I'm available to answer questions or Skype, just let me know! |

Have you contacted the talent agencies? Seems like you are burning these leads using them for WebCams. A lot of them would be nonsense, but I'm sure there are a few gems.

if it was my site it definitely wouldn't be for sale. i'd be thinking long-term revenue |
Damn, all this and you are not selling leads to porn agencies. Crazy wasted potential.
Forget about posting those crackrevenue etc stats, whoever buys it would not care about that monetization route... :) And good luck with the sale. |

I wonder how many copies of your site are being made right now? Any good idea is worth stealing these days.

My two cents on your action, you cant ask for that much money based on the potential of the site, professinal buyers (the one who can really pay) calculate the value of the site on the monthly revenue, since you have no revenue, the more they are paying is the development of the site and the SEO effort, no more than 5k.
Good luck on your auction. |

And while I agree with potential vs revenue comment, you also have to value at least leads he has. I mean should he sell it for 0$ if he had no ads/revenue? Nope. It does not work that simple. Also leads are currently flowing in so they are value/earnings (to the person who would utilize them) not potential. |

Model recruitment can be rather profitable. That's why you have guys going to clubs and college parties all the time (and yes trolling Facebook) trying to recruit young, hot girls. It's not because they are in it for the fun of it - they want the cash. What I don't understand is why this site never hooked up directly with an established porn agency in the first place and turned this site into something profitable for himself? I get that his wife was never very comfortable with the idea, I read that. But I sure bet she would be happy with the money it brought in. :1orglaugh |
i think its generally accepted that the person who buys it will be developing it and will either use or know what to do with the leads, he already accepted he had problems with that, if someone knows what to do with the leads then the problem is'nt there, and "more" value is created in the site.

Here on planet earth and the affiliates that make money know that cash is king, if you see the biding they are paying him the design, and the SEO work (5k when I am writing this, 10 times less what he is asking for, see the "buy it now" price) which seems fair to me. As I said in my first post people are valuating his work (design and SEO) and are paying accordingly, the "potential" earnings of the site are a made up measure, but I guess the market will speak. Good luck on the auction. |
Anyone who uses Gravity forms, what are the advantages? Is Gravity Forms the best? I am just not feeling it.

NOT POTENTIAL. Potential is when you say - you can do this and this to the site and earn more. So when you do not get something and you say that "site can get this" then it is potential. And in this case leads are not potential, leads are current. Leads are CURRENT "earnings". Not potential. Few bucks per lead lets say (remember that CPA networks pay/paid $1 for simple email lead, and these are targeted so their value is more than $1). But even if we assume they are worth $1/lead they are still current earnings. If he gets 10 of them daily then current earning = $10. Not potential. Current. New owner takes the site and he immediately reaps those leads as dollars. No need to expect some potential,. because they are already there flowing in. Same as cash from the banners. Just in different form. |
