Greetings! I am the webmaster of theemilybloom.com which is the official website of nude art model Emily Bloom. You may know her for her work with Met Art, Hegre-Art, Watch4Beauty and many others. Glad to be a part of this forum, looks like there are many great people and resources here!

Our site launched less than 2 months ago and we are off to a great start so far. We just launched an affiliate program and already have a lot of great content up on the site. We are looking into new forms of promotion and advertising as well and I'm sure you guys will have some great tips on that. Fortunately we get a lot of traffic on her name alone so that helps too.

I thought the site was broken at first but it was the video trying to load. I'm on a 100mbs connection and it still took 10-15 seconds for the vid to load.

May want to look into that.

You need to optimize your WP script. Im guessing its running way too many queries and plugins for your server. Cache it. :2 cents:

Caching now on, and banner video gone, that should help. What do you mean by too many questions?

The site is probably loading slow because it's using Wordpress framework with A BUNCH of installed plugins, including Woocommerce, which runs a lot of processes. The Wordpress theme looks like Bridge, from Themeforest. It's a parallax theme, which can sometimes be bloated.

It's also hosted on Cloudflare, which looks like a shared server (I could be wrong). If the site generates a lot of traffic by say, posting a link to it on a popular adult forum, then it will probably run slow. If that's the case, it may be time to upgrade to a dedicated.

Your join page has lots of fields to fill out. Stuff like "additional information". Make it simple "pick your password and user name". The whole thing is "you are one click away from jerking off". You have it as if they are joining a dating site.

Or he will get a boot from his provider for running too many nods

It looks like Woocommerce, not sure that's the ideal solution here. But that's up to the webmaster. The additional information can be removed, the rest is necessary for billing. He should have a link to TOS on there as well as how the site will be billed on credit card statements.

I have 200mps and still loads slow..I use https://gtmetrix.com/ to help locate things on my sites that slows it up.. good tool to use :2 cents:

my experience with themeforest themes is horrible. Every one of them loads as slow or slower than this site. The slowness is built in the themes. The creators probably think 'we have to stuff it full with options otherwise people will not pay for it'.

The almost 60 js files are probably all built in the theme.

I always go with popular simple free themes. Support from the wp community and super fast loading sites.

Thanks guys, we are really working on the optimization. We set up some belated caching and compression and will probably do a bit of a server upgrade in the near future. But like some people said it does seem like some of that delay is built into the theme and we will tackle that soon. Oh and Emily wanted me to tell you she is flattered by all of the nice comments.
