k0nr4d 03-09-2016 11:52 PM

seeandsee 03-10-2016 01:33 AM

he didt earned a lot

nico-t 03-10-2016 02:46 AM

the guy happened to be a simple store clerk when the shop boss landed that tv deal. The talentless lazy guy is very lucky, he would have never made this kind of money on his own.

He was smart enough to realize that he could capitalize on his popularity. When the show started getting big he was the only one that thought about promoting himself by selling his own line of shirts. The shirts sold so well the Harrison's ended up offering him a large amount for half of his business so they could sell and market his shirts and products. His outsell all the others by far. He also licensed his name for other products and hired an agent to get him jobs making appearances.

He might be talentless, but lazy he is not.

Andreweb 03-10-2016 04:02 AM

One thing is sure the show will never be the same without him !

That is the big question I have as well. Who the fuck wants to walk around wearing a shirt with his face on it? Apparently there are a lot of people, but it blows my mind that he could sell that many.

Rob 03-10-2016 04:17 AM

I quit watching that show after I found out it was fake. Being a history buff, I appreciated Rick's knowledge of history, or so I thought. All that shit was rehearsed, and I wouldn't be surprised if Chump Lee was cast as the goofy comedy relief rather than being an actual employee. Chump and Corey both look like fucking meth heads. Chump will get what's coming to him if he's charged with rape.

I was a sucker who waited in line for a couple hours to walk through that shitty pawn shop years ago in Vegas. What a waste.

I wouldn't be shocked. I found out what I know about his business stuff from some show that aired where he was one of the people they profiled. He has a multi-million dollar house that has a room in it that is nothing but a closet for all his sneakers. During the show he said he about $300K worth of sneakers in there. In the garage and parked out front he had several hundred thousand dollars worth of cars.

MrBottomTooth 03-10-2016 05:42 AM

How do you get a weapons charge for having a gun in your home? I thought it would be fairly easy to legally own guns there. Maybe unsafe storage or something that is prohibited like full auto?

Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime (drug possession). If they came into his house and only found registered firearms, he wouldn't have a problem. But since he was involved in criminal activity, the drugs for sure, and possibly sexual assault, it makes the gun possession illegal as well.

OK that makes sense I guess.

Not sure how Nevada is, but in Florida we have a 10-15-Life system in place. 10 years in prison if you have a gun during the commission of a felony. 15 years in prison if you shoot it, even if you miss. And life in prison if you hit someone, whether they die or not. There's more language involved in the statute, but that's the jist of it.

Then again, he could have been found with unregistered or illegal (fully auto or modified) guns as well. We won't know unless they release the arrest documents. My guess is that he was charged because it was in his possession, constructive possession, during an arrest for a felony. The guns could have been in his bedroom while he was arrested in his living room, but that's still considered constructive possession. By legal standards, the same as actual possession.

CaptainHowdy 03-10-2016 06:01 AM

Surprised someone on the pawn business would actually be a felon ...

If he's convicted, he'll lose his job. He can't be around the guns in the shop as a convicted felon. Hell, he's probably going to lose his job even if he's not found guilty. Drugs, guns, and possible sexual assault isn't good for ratings, or business. He's done regardless of the outcome.

EDIT: Convicted felons cannot work in pawn shops. Just read that on Avvo.com.

Edit: your are, you actually thought the show was real in the first place.

First, they do still work there seeing how they own the fucking place. And prior to his arrest, Chumplee still did work at the store, even if it was only during filming. Read his Wikipedia page, an other shit written about him now after his arrest.

Second, the show isn't even on the Discovery Channel, or Discovery network of channels. So how could Chumplee work for a production company associated with Discovery? FAIL.

And yes, during the first season I thought it was a hipper version of the Antiques Road Show, and being in Vegas, people pawn all types of shit to get out of gambling debt. I figured the show was real during the first season, and I'm sure a lot of other people did as well.

Not from Canada (probably one of the worst insults I've ever received. And I've been called a Mexican before!). I'm a Floridian. :thumbsup

Except that they don't deal in firearms, they deal in antique firearms, legally there is a difference. It's been said several times on the show they can't handle guns unless they are older than a certain year.

I like the show, always known it was staged, was pretty obvious, I went there and waited 30 minutes to walk thru, was ok.
