What is the hype about Florida ?

I have heard couple times stuff like if this one win Florida its over etc..

What is it with FL give them so much power ? Is that the bases state of republican or something?

Its pretty much a 50/50 state, and has 29 electoral votes. Without those 29, the path becomes extremely hard for any Republican to win.

My Grandpa retired in Port St. Lucie and all those retired folks down there are very conservative. Should be interesting.

Either way this election is exciting. It will be landmark for a woman to be elected as President (though not unique by any means as several other countries have done the same).
