yes alert the authorities to my Monday rants you loser |
A National register of who buys what and limits on what people can buy would stop this. But you politicians won't pass that law for fear of losing the cash the NRA supplies.

The stupid laws made it happen.

No. But they provide a framework to punish those that step outside the boundaries that society sets. No laws - no society. |
Some where on a Christian forum someone is posting to links to stories about how much free porn there is on the Internet and how its destroying children, families, marriages and is calling for the government to pass laws to stop it...
|
Look, until we pass a law banning assault rifles this will continue to happen forever
|
Once again the nutjobs are out on full force on social media crying how the government wants to take their guns!

Who cares if Kim Jong-un or Iran gets nukes. Nukes don't kill people, people kill people.
See how fucking stupid that sounds? |

There will always be assault weapons. The US isnt the only country that manufactures guns. They can easily be smuggled in. There are people who deal in arms through-out the world. Instead of an AR it will be an AK. And there are individual gunsmiths who are machinist that can make any gun on the market now in their own garage. A ban will cause one thing - the price to go up. Thats about it. Do you think a ban on all porn in the US will result in no porn ever being made again anywhere in the world or people in the US watching porn ? |

Last time I checked murder is already illegal. Someone that has already decided to commit murder isn't going to care what gun laws are on the books. . |

1500 mass shootings in the USA since 2012 and armed citizens stopped how many?
Making guns hard to get and banning military rifles would not stop ALL shooters but it would stop most...not everybody has a connection to the underground arms market and not everybody can make it at home on a lathe... Also making bullets expensive as fuck would help... |

so it can't be just that |

They will go to the black-market. Bans on anything are notoriously bad for preventing anything... did it help with drugs ? Cocaine is banned - how hard is it to get cocaine ? The claim that it works in other countries also doesnt work in the US. We are not like the UK or Australia or any other EU country. The mentality of the US citizen is different. The crackdown that removing all guns from our country would require would be draconian. 1/3 of American households have a gun... are you going to jail 33% of Americans if they dont turn over their guns ? Lets say 50% of those that own guns give them up voluntarily - are you going to jail 10 million people for not giving up their guns? Where are these prisons being built ? Its not a reasonable conversation to have. We have been, continue to be and will always be a free society and a part of that freedom is the right to bear arms. That genie isnt going back into the bottle. |

https://www.theglobalist.com/20-fact...shnikov-ak-47/ More than 20 countries make them and their price ranges from $10 to $300. |

If we were to ban assault rifles, it would make it too difficult for the average person to get. The average person isn't going to buy an AK47 from a smuggler. |
Quote:
Make bullets extremely expensive ? Sure that may work but most people who know what they are going can make their own or reuse what they have already bought. |
Automatic weapon are nothing new in the civilian world. Look at the tommy gun in the 20's - 50's. Why didnt we have all these mass shooting back then?
The only things that have changed is our news, population and time on people's hands. The news is fueling the anger in people like Andy to flip out. Some people will go nuts on social media. Some people with go on a shooting rampage. But our news is in an outrage cycle where they know causing outrage gets views and ratings. So the news keeps posting all this negative shit to divide our country into a fight and outrage, our population is at an all time high which stresses our resources. Lastly, people have too much fucking time on their hands. When I was a kid and did drywall all day in the hot sun and commuted to work an hour each way, I was too tired to give a fuck about anything, but a cold beer and joint. Now people sit around all day on the computer listening to the lies and negative info in the news and social media. |

wait are you saying the US gov has no files over who owns rifles/guns etc? if so then this is most strange... you could still stop it by making "gun ID" mandatory if you want to enter a gun shop...like it is mandatory if you want to buy alcohol (if you look young)...no "gun ID" no entrance...works in my country, you can not buy one single bullet without a license...make it illegal to sell anything gun related if the customer does not have a proper license/permit for that SPECIFIC weapon/caliber... you may argue a black market will form but it will be limited in nature...I would compare a ban on guns to a ban on steroids...they are banned and there IS a black market for steroids, but you can not buy them on every corner like drugs...you can buy them on the net if you know where to look, but only a small % of the population manages to get their hands on some... |

But instead you can buy a 3D printer now though... |

yes, it's a mindset but nobody wanted to accept that plans crash, we developed ABS, ESP, Airbags etc to make cars safer but whenever somebody suggests that maybe, eventually there are ways to make gun ownership safer, you guys go up in a fiery rage. it's really an absurd spectacle to watch please go on, allow also gun silencers, have mentally ill people and people on no fly lists guns - i'm sure it helps. Question is whom. |

Yeah, isn't it amazing how the nutters claim anyone should be able to buy a gun but they get so upset when other countries want big guns/weapons.. |
Quote:
https://www.concealedcarry.com/law/are-guns-registered/ There's no US Constitutional right to alcohol or steroids, bad analogy. And again, going forward that does little to change the weapons that are already in hands of millions of American citizens. |

93 die a day from gun related incidents. There are roughly 250 millions cars registered in the US. There are roughly 347 million guns in American. Thus making guns statistically safer than cars, despite the technological advancements in automobiles. Compared to the rest of the world, and despite all the guns from 2010-2015 America is no where near the top of gun related homicides per 100,000 people... I also have a statistics for you https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...cs-maps-charts PS: and if you would teach people driving better than those laughable tests in many states and also punish texting/phoning while driving with higher sentences, maybe you can also fix the car related deaths a bit |
