worth going back into adult after a 10 year break?

Are there still any possibilities for a hobby wemaster with 15 year old adult webmaster skills?

tube content? amateur POV content? linkfarms free tubes?

BTW. go fuck yourself.

If your still prepared to go all out with the right niche but I wouldn't be trying it with general.

SpicyM 11-01-2017 04:01 AM

Do you have money to invest? Starting in adult without any cash is impossible these days.

Of course, there it is, especially if you already have experience.

I'm making it after 13 long years ....and the sales are still continuing to roll in for my paysite. Takes a lot of time, work and updating.
Cannot speak for everybody else, but that's my situation.

So if you ask me ..... go for it! :thumbsup

Rochard 11-01-2017 07:23 AM

It's not as easy as it was ten years ago. It's a lot more work and a lot less money to make.

If you love shooting naked girls and know how to do that than it's a different game for sure. :thumbsup

plsureking 11-01-2017 09:21 AM

yea i wouldn't bother going into affiliate marketing. too many cheats and tough conversion rates. you have to shoot or buy exclusive content. most of the guy's surviving the paysite game are shooting their own content.

i'm seeing the opposite. many industry veterans are coming back. i think we'll see a resurgence and domination of paysites in 2018.

my speculation is mainly based on the aging of gen-x. old people have always been the top buyers of paysite subs. now my generation is old lol

tobedeleted 11-02-2017 06:48 PM

There's money, but it has to be interactive. I'm sure old-school style pay sites still sell, but a lot of those are customers being rebilled without even knowing. Not saying it can't work, but when was the last time you paid for porn?

Now there IS money in mainstream. I always thought the money (and fun) was mostly in adult, but I have found more potential in non-adult. Plus with social media being a big factor it is a pain in the ass to promote adult, while mainstream is easy.

I think this may be true - man I hope it is.

Because with so many people dropping out there will eventually be a void in new content.

The truth is that adult webmasters killed their own market. How? Well it started with so much free affiliate marketing content that users couldn't even keep up with everything.

This grew to the point of being ridiculous, because once the content is online it is there forever. Of course the tubes was the nail in the coffin.

There were a few webmasters and services trying to require payment to access promotional affiliate content - that should have been implemented IMO.

But with so many webmasters out it might just open a new avenue for demand.

This is just a hope though... From what I can tell younger generations won't pay for anything.

all the time. if you aren't a consumer, you shouldn't be selling it.

the entire market is not broke degenerates looking for free porn. there are millions of paying consumers with good jobs and money. if you don't know that, you aren't selling paysite porn and/or you don't have access to daily paysite stats.

i have one monitor in my office that just shows stats and there's new paysite sales nearly every minute on our cms network.

No money in porn.
Except the checks still keep coming.
Go figure.

Denny 11-03-2017 02:43 AM

Probably not, it also depens on why you stopped before... generally it's harder to make $$$ in porn than 10 years ago, you work harder and make less, ok, you can work smarter and make more but it's easy to say, harder to do... some investments will probably be necessary too...

After seven years, I was blown away to find this place still rockin'... and I had the same question in my mind. I've always assumed it takes a massive $$/time investment to crack into the industry these days.

are you back to doing reviews? they are still the best converting traffic source, yet most of the review sites are on auto-pilot now.

the gold rush is long over, the tube crash is over too. its just a job now, but its a fun one.

I also have a idea for something "new and current" that might "resonate".

If you have a unique idea, give it a go...

VamosNicholas 11-04-2017 12:49 PM

I've been considering the same thing, although I was only ever a small time affiliate really. Have more programming/web development skills now, but I don't really think it's enough to get back into things.
