This is all true - and I remember asking how he would govern (on here I think) but I'm sure you know that 10% of reps were decided by just a few %. I think this gets even worse after he is impeached (not removed). In 2020 the race will be very tough, and the candidate MUST not antagonize voters. Democrats have to figure that out. Progressives and centrists like me must unite behind a candidate we believe in. Failing that, we lose.

Who would you like to see as the Democrat? I think they need someone young, energetic and able to engage the young voters. I fear if they go with Bernie or even Biden it will feel like more of the same and young voters will stay home.

Im my opinion Trump is just one of many symptoms of a once powerful empire falling.

There seems to be no credible democrat Presidential candidate, it's crazy to consider someone as old as Bernie Sanders for the job.

Ideally the next US President would be a centrist, with a good academic foundation who understands economics and foreign policy. He would be in his mid 40s to mid 50s.

There's nobody that the Democrats or Republicans can offer right now who fits that criteria, so we will just continue to see the decline of the United States, the continued rise of China and the neglect of eyes on Russia and countries like Syria and Iran which will come back to bite the west because the USA couldn't constrain these countries.

We are puling out of Syria and potentially out of Iraq. Although Mr. trump is telling us ISIS is defeated, everyone in the world knows this isn't true.... If we pull out of both countries, we will not have a land base in the area with the ability to continue operations against ISIS.
