Webmaster Access presents: The virtual conference, 4-6 june 2020
https://webmasteraccess.com
The GFY Team is pleased to announce that Webmaster Access, will go virtual this June. WMA Virtual—which will be the first of its kind—will be held June 4-6, 2020. In what has become one of the must-attend shows of year on the affiliate calendar, WMA once again will showcase all the elements that has made this event the premiere affiliate gathering for more than 16 years. WMA Virtual will offer qualified attendees opportunities to book video meetings, showcase their services and explore new job prospects in what will be the Zoom gathering of the year. Featuring more than 40 Zoom seminars, dozens of virtual sponsor booths and 60-plus expert speakers, the GFY Team anticipates more than 10,000 attendees from around the world to participate. WMA is building on its nearly two-decade long track record of bringing the international tech community together for three days of networking, education and deal-making by transporting this year’s show to the virtual space. The attendee experience will be brought to life through the introduction of the WMA Virtual Platform, which will integrate leading-edge technology such as a AI-powered matchmaking, 1:1 meetings and proprietary analytics to fuel this year’s program of activities. Despite the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, the GFY Team intends to continue its tradition of providing C-level executives, key influencers and thousands of affiliates with a unique forum to exchange ideas, stay informed, continue learning and conduct business. “We think given what’s happening in the world right now it is more important than ever for our industry to stay connected, so we’re thrilled to bring everyone together for this special virtual edition of Webmaster Access,” said Roy Salter of the GFY Team. “Even though we won’t be able to gather in person, we’re thrilled to bring you a virtual experience that will help your business.” GFY members will qualify directly for a pass and access to the videos afterwards :) The plan is to have the new GFY ready by then, we are building some really awesome stuff, but will be not easy to pull this through so any help, ideas, feedback more than appreciated! Conference profits will be donated to nonprofit response & prevention efforts for the COVID-19 pandemic. For additional details about Webmaster Access, contact us at [email protected]. |
Fucking awesome idea! Love it. Can't wait

Great job!
|
Cool - A show I might actually be able to attend - It would be great to have a few after work events as well as you do at the real thing - Poker tournaments etc...
Topless volley ball might be more of a challenge..... EDIT: Just noticed "The plan is to have the new GFY ready by then" - Tell me more!.. |
I was also thinking how to make a poker tournament, bit challenging due to online regulations though but I havent given up on the idea yet lol
We have some fun things in mind though. I just attended a conference for event ogranizers, that they usually do it in Saint Petersburg but due to corana they did it online. 9,500 people attended, was just insane.. Will be an interesting experience, we will do our best :) |
I am in , we need to pay?
|
nope, for at least the first 5.000 people we will offer full access for free, if we pass that mark we will see. We will filter the applications though, its not an event for consumers.
As I wrote above, GFY members qualify directly for a pass and will get access to the booking/networking platform and to all the videos afterwards! Many people have been suggesting us lately to make an online event. In the beginning I was very hesitant as it was done in our industry in the past with poor results, but times are different and technologies too. What though got me very excited, is that will give the opportunity to a lot of people around the world to participate, people that for various reasons cant go to Vegas, Amsterdam etc |

Awesome Idea. Count me in. :)

One question: will virtual conferences take place of "real world" meetings or both will be going on together?
I really enjoyed my yearly stay in Amsterdam for the last 10 years ;) I would certainly miss it it if happened to be discontinued. |

We have no intention to discontinue Amsterdam or Vegas. Virtual events have their benefits but they cant substitute physical ones. We had been thinking long time now to move WMA from September and make it in June next to Affiliate Summit Euro in Amsterdam, as nowadays in September there were too many events with more or less the same people and honestly I dont see the point(can say more about this but lets leave it there lol). Our initial plan was to make a big meetup/party this June in Amsterdam and announce it all, but obviously due to the situation it’s impossible. Hopefully next June we will not be all still stuck in quarantine :) I think the future of the events is hybrid though. |
Interesting

most are setup and moderation issues though and we are pretty confident that we will address them properly. Doing a virtual event in large scale is rather complicated with many elements. Its not gonna be a zoom party. We will launch in 2 weeks a complete platform, that the industry has never seen before, the live webinars its just a small part of it. |
Zoom highjacking isn't hacking. It's cracking. Which is bruteforcing people's shitty passwords that they reuse in places which have been hacked in the past and the usernames and passwords uploaded to paste bin.

I would be delighted to discuss adding a true virtual component, including trade show floors, meet and greats, discussion panels and video presentations, including awards shows, all within our Red Light Center software platform if you would like. We always have tremendous success and participation in our Virtual Conventions that are way way way beyond simple Zoom offerings. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss. |
Is a virus scanner mandatory?
"Zoom virus" is a generic term used to define unwanted or malicious software proliferated under the guise of content, related to the Zoom application/services. |

you did well! I am also rather clueless technically, Klen and Theo are the masterminds))) Just to clarify it all, we will only use zoom as a streaming service, as their premium service can hold up to 10k viewers in a webinar! But we will restream the feed, not using their app/client, not their chat etc, participants will be able to attend from their browser(desktop+mobile). We are doing end of the month a mainstream conference for event organizers and been testing it, works amazing :) |
