Great News for Mindgeek and Some of Us in the Adult Industry!

Visa has turned back on processing for all of Mindgeek professionally generated content sites for their own productions like Brazzers, Reality Kings, Mofos and partners like Mile High, Sweet Sinner, and Dog House Digital

I am optimistic they will soon work out their issues with their Porn Hub platform as well.

The new version of the major tube sites that are coming will be one that is free of anonymous and illegally uploaded content and will usher in a new age of opportunities for all of us that shoot scenes and hopefully all exploitative content will be a thing of the past

Now that the adult industry has taken this strong stance it is time for mainstream platforms to do the same.

Article says "professionally generated content" which kind sounds like paysite part.

ZENRA 12-23-2020 01:26 PM

This is very good news.

J. Falcon 12-23-2020 02:12 PM

That is positive news. It's a start.

arock10 12-23-2020 04:55 PM

Pic posts will finally be king again

NatalieK 12-23-2020 05:04 PM

fantastic news...

while many will continue to knock the tubes and PH. this, for content providers & legit affiliates, is a good turn for the business side of the adult industry :thumbsup

RyuLion 12-23-2020 05:05 PM

It shows who has the real power!! :)

bean-aid 12-23-2020 05:07 PM

What's the saying... can't put the tooth paste back in the bottle? Traffic will just shift to another source, likely filelockers.

Excellent news!
Our partners Nutaku can indeed process again with Visa, that's a great positive development for the adult gaming industry.
And adult industry in general, what they call "professionaly generated content" is where the real money is for most of us. And for MD as well, I'm not an expert but I'd say that most of their revenues come from professionally generated content. UGC is probably more a "traffic generator" than directly a "money generator".

... that'd be fantastic, but are there any signs of such evolution?

itx 12-24-2020 12:59 AM

Millions of people liked porn in secret. the message maybe is if you don't own the content you're in the sword, and let illegal things arguing is "user uploaded content".

yuu.design 12-24-2020 02:21 PM

Good to hear!

It sounds like cam models and other amateurs on OF type platforms are excluded.

Richard J Greer 12-24-2020 10:01 PM

I like it

itx 12-25-2020 01:30 AM

I find a lots of videos on Pornhub with hosts assault and underage videos, the reason because VISA/Mastercard blocked them. :1orglaugh

Reox 12-25-2020 03:36 AM

thats a good news

itx 12-25-2020 09:22 PM

Now the videos disappear. LoL

faxxaff 12-29-2020 01:45 PM

what's good about that?
Visa allows to bill for stuff nobody buys, but the stuff that sells they won't bill for?

SRProductions 12-29-2020 02:23 PM

wow amazing

SRProductions 12-29-2020 02:23 PM

didn't expect that

I was told by a bigger partner that PH is still actively paying out Premium partners which is superb news.

I am pretty sure adult would be in a much better position without Mindgeek being around.

I saw some numbers recently that adult is 15b-20b / year and mindgeek is doing under 1b revenue

it seems like they're not as powerful as one might think. I suspect they are cultivating the "monopoly" narrative for business reasons.

I highly doubt the there is 15-20 billion in annual revenue. With that said I cannot outright reject the figure.

Applying some sort of basic business/mathematical logic, one should consider the following:

If MindGeek's annual revenue is 1 billion (example), and they have 45 percent (example) of the www traffic visiting their sites, than we can broadly presume that the industry wide revenue from 100 percent of www traffic is approximately 2.2 billion dollars annually.

tbaahp 01-01-2021 12:58 AM

no one cares about shitty professionally shot content anymore. they want onlyfans

Ok, but that doesn't change the fact that what you said was incredibly ignorant. I'm not sure why anyone would trust your opinion when you've demonstrated that you don't know what you're talking about, but here we are. :winkwink:

It's even funnier when people post stuff like this. :1orglaugh Imagine being as vocal as you are about "Mindgeek bad" and then being this ignorant to the industry you supposedly work in. :winkwink:

The same was said about MyFreeCams and Chaturbate when they launched. OF is just a new market player for a big segment of users. The two types of users aren't mutually exclusive and this kind of narrow mind will prevent you from making real money. :thumbsup

Including cams and sites like OnlyFans, etc., it's pretty likely. Broke dicks here don't realize how much others are making while they're on GFY whining about tubes instead of making their business better. :thumbsup

I don't know that MG cultivates the monopoly narrative. It would just make them a target. They certainly do for their pay site business in their marketing to affiliates, though.

Its shocking how much of my traffic is for onlyfans models. A single DMCA takedown request for an onlyfans model cut my traffic almost 5%.

If someone can figure out how to use tube traffic to sell onlyfans subscriptions -- they will be rich.

It's really easy to estimate with with just a few companies making 70% of the market like:

Mindgeek with tubes, TrafficJunky and paysites
Streamate WL network + affiliated groups
Xvideos and the rest of the Group
Xhamster with Stripchat and TrafficStars
OnlyFans/MFC
Chaturbate
LiveJasmin

There are some few big local players in local markets as well, especially in Japan, UK, Germany, France.
