If done right, customers servers could be up and running within minutes somewhere else, if the network is done right |
I have a few with them but in Roubaix , but if not mistaken all OVH traffic goes through Strasbourg node

Great example on how some hosting giants dont show the real status on the statuspage
https://www.ovh.com/world/community/status/ "everything fine, nothing to see here" |
They say (on their forum) that those with servers in the location, have had their servers removed from the control panel. Can anyone with servers at OVH confirm that?
Asking for a friend at datacenterdynamics.com/ They have removed the sites from the status page (SBG2 and SBG3) |

Might be based on what service that are consumed... VPS, Dedicated, Cloud or webservices |

Estimated 1-2 weeks to restore service to the other servers at the datacenter that didn't burn
|
Is it now a good idea to get an OVH VPS in Canada? :)

sure as hell was the most disposable-looking datacenter I have ever seen. Just a bunch of containers |
What a tragedy.

In all seriousness though, there must have been 42k or so servers lost + cabling, hardware, routers, switches, and the building itself. I think 150-250mil easy. |

If this had been an AWS data center it would be front page on CNN. |
