MONTREAL—Solomon Friedman, partner and vice president for compliance at Aylo (Pornhub) ownership group Ethical Capital Partners (ECP), on Tuesday voiced support for parental controls that filter out porn content being enabled by default at the point of sale on mobile phones, tablets and computers.

"“This is going to suprise some people ... coming from the ownership group that owns Aylo, which operates Pornhub, we want every single device sold by the ... [major device manufacturers] ... we want those devices, those user accounts, to be blocked from accessing adult [content] by default until the age of the user is verified on the device."

""... That is, the device is the key, and we will be the lock. In our view, it is necessary not just when it comes to adult entertainment or pornography, but it is required in order to keep the entirety of the adult internet off limits from young people. [I'm] talking about alcohol and cannabis and gambling and explicit video games, etc.—all the reasons why we need device-based age verification."

AVN asked the Free Speech Coalition's executive director, Alison Boden, for its stance on the topic.

"FSC supports device-level filters in general as a more effective and privacy-protective solution than the government-mandated age verification laws," Boden said. "We’re currently evaluating specific technologies and their implications for potential policy approaches."

Asked to clarify whether the FSC has a position specifically on instituting a standard of device manufacturers enabling parental filters at the point of sale, Boden replied: "We're still evaluating that."

I've come to the realization that everywhere sucks. There's nowhere to run to. People keep saying 'based Poland' but this is not the same country it was 5 or 10 years ago. My parents still live in Canada. They said it's really bad there in the big cities, but rural areas are still ok. We are considering moving back there to Kelowna but I dunno. I'd rather move somewhere warm like Malta or Tenerife but my wife doesn't want to live in a desert.

Canada's government just spent the entire last session of government arguing over Israel and Gaza and the politicians lined up to debate something happening 10,000+ kilometers away while Canadians, mostly white men, are dying by the 100's every month across each and every province from poisoned drugs.

We have so much homelessness, so much despair, so much slide in the quality of life in this country, the culture going to total shit, the social contract totally fucking broken, and what does our government do? Israel VS Gaza debates, endless Israel VS Gaza... this country is so beyond fucked.

The change in Canada in the last 15 years has given me whiplash. The entire culture has swung so rapidly, I think the smartphone has warped people's minds and nobody can even understand what is happening, most people just want to live their lives and not have to think about what is going on:

Why would I want to move to Russia? I would DEFINATELY be in a place that there's war, and if Poland attacks it I may even be put into some kind of internment camp. I suspect that NATO will provoke or attack Russia based on the behavior of my own country's government towards Russia. Russia attacking Poland would basically be writing off Kaliningrad. It's small and surrounded by NATO and EU, and could be taken very quickly. I don't think Russia is ready to cede that territory. Thus, I suspect that any attack on Poland would be provoked by NATO and spun around as Russian aggression.

This is exactly how WW2 started by the way. The reason Germany invaded Poland was because Poland supposidely attacked a radio station in Gliwice, when in reality it was a false flag executed by German soldiers.

We have a new left-wing government. So much broken here after the last government - and you know what they started off with? Their top priorities are gay marriage, gay adoption, allowing abortions, and introducing hatespeech laws to protect LGBT. This was fucking #1 priority. Not our fucked up tax code that changes every year, not our broken as fuck social programs, not securing our borders, not making it easier to run a business, but making sure 15 year olds can buy OTC abortion pills in every pharmacy. They're also changing the law so a woman can change her mind about if she gave consent for sex after the fact. Just to be clear - we don't have that many LGBT people here and there aren't hate crimes being committed against them.

This used to be one of the havens for conservatives where everyone was normal, and they're working hard to ruin that.

Where we're headed now is a world in which there are going to be dozens of age verification solutions, none of which have low friction and all of which likely have horrible privacy implications. All in all, terrible for all parties involved.
