Can't help it. I was raised by my grandmother who was alive when all those movies were released! I have a lot of her old videos.

Any Akira Kurosawa movie.

Trent Edison 10-30-2003 11:13 AM

Bunch of bullshit.
Here are some REAL movies:

Requiem for a dream
Saving private Ryan
The ring
Fight club (recpect to everyone mentioned it)

Mike-BP 10-30-2003 11:13 AM

Scarface
Indiana Jones
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original)
Requiem for a Dream <= not a "classic" movie but you have to see it

Bad Taste And Braindead are cool too if you like these kind of movies (splatter horror movies with just a little too much blood) :thumbsup

Mike-BP 10-30-2003 11:16 AM

Oh, and you should buy Boondock Saints and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas :thumbsup :thumbsup
Can't go wrong with those 2 movies

Hawkeye 10-30-2003 11:18 AM

Fight Club is WAY overrated.

You need to pick up the old Jack Nicholson movies like Chinatown, Easy Rider, Goin South, The Shining, etc.

Daddy Big Nuts 10-30-2003 11:18 AM

Caddyshack
Airplane
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke
All of the old Bond movies

Well, not sure how you define classic but I will assume you mean 'old but good' and perhaps black and white..

The Third Man - brilliant Orson Wells film, with actually a good dvd package.
Mr Smith Goes To Washington - I picked it up for £1 in London..crazy.
Arsenic and Old Lace - my fave b&w movie
The Belles Of St. Trinians - cracks me up
The Ladykillers - classic British film
The Lavender Hill Mob - ditto but a classic British crime caper film
Kind Hearts And Coronets - Brilliant, Allistair Guinness played eight roles in this film, male and female.
Passport To Pimlico - love this film, I giggle everytime I see a bus going to Pimlico in London.

hyatla 10-30-2003 11:33 AM
