Like Whoa Hosting Update
October 19, 2001
5:59PM, EDT Like Whoa Inc is pleased to announce that all services and connections to our clients have been restored and are in full operation. We would also like to express our apologies for this inconvenience and explain the causes of this downtime. The problem, which occurred on our network today, was as a result of Level (3)'s failure to properly operate the cross connect cables between AT&T and Verio, to our cage. This improper handling of the cross connects not only caused significant financial damages to Like Whoa, Verio, AT&T, and Teleseon, but also created a significant network outage which could have only been resolved by Level (3) technicians. Level (3)'s tier 3 technicians only appeared four hours after Like Whoa requested their services. We would like to also thank our customers, AT&T, Verio, and Teleseon for their continuous support and cooperation. Klein, Zelman, Rothermel, & Dichter, LLP., the attorney firm that represents Like Whoa, is currently in discussions with the Level (3) legal department and is considering the possibility of pressing charges against the company. At this time, our company cannot comment more on the legal scenario, but a full update will be provided to all clients as we acquire additional information. Our company strongly abides by our SLA and Terms of Service and will issue immediate credits to everyone affected during this downtime. We are real people -- not sheep -- not money whores. If you don't care about our business -- if you have enough money -- then why are you posting here anyway? Makes no sense... Don't you have the email address of your customers? I could personally care less if your servers are up or down. Do you see other hosting companies posting their server status on GFY? one question if this is to inform your customers of there status or your status.. why threaten them.. if the rumors or coming from your clients then you have bigger problems like managing a company that the clients dont feel the urge to talk shit about..

Funny thing, I went to Like Whoa after reading the pissing match they had last month on this very board. They are THE BEST I've used so far.. 4 years in the business. Their support and customer service are excellent and they're prices are damn good.
I just wanted to put in a good word for them, seems they get ripped on by people who don't even use them. And today was the first downtime I had with them.... Catalina Not a Newbie! |
Catalinas i have used likewhoa for over 2 months now. service was good at first, been going down hill since. I can understand a server getting overloaded, but taking months to fix the problem sucks.

Nobody is smearing anything around, we messed up yesterday, I explained why we did. Everybody and their grandmothers came on board to say how we are crying that we are big. Look over every post I made, there is not a single word mentioning anything about the size of our company. So, as far as public relations, on this board, there is no such a thing as public relations, everybody is crying like little babies. |

Are you afraid of other companies trying to steal away your customers? Why would I want to host with you? Give me the names of some webmasters with traffic that would recommend your service. Or do you make most of your money outside of the adult internet? Maybe consider posting that information on your website. |

Once again, you are putting words in my mouth. I have not mentioned anything about our size, our parties, our giveaways, or anything that has to do with "ego" as some of you migth call it. Let's do a college class: If you told me, LikeWhoa is a joke, ran by crooks and is a money scheming operation. If I replied by defaming you back, there is no such a thing as defamation case, since I engaged in the same activity. If I did not reply and wanted to pursue legal action, then I have a case. Look back at the beginning of the posts, Ron attacked me, I replied back to his attack, we are mutually engaged in a piss-attack, neither me or him have the case. ;-) Just a good thing for you to know. |
