Yeah, last I checked Windows still came bundled with IE and most folks use Windows and are largely clueless about installing software. All this does is make developing web sites as much as a pain now as it was 8 years ago. Thanks fuckers

Please! It's always been an issue for any number of reasons, not excluding competion factors between the various browsers..

I suggest you upgrade then, many exploits are out for versions that old.

I switched a few weels ago, and for the most part I like it. But I fond that it does not always display photos in the threads, and other things like that.

Are you for real? Mozilla adhears to W3C standards and IE does not. If you're not coding your sites with community standards in mind and instead use propriatary technology and/or sloppy coding techniques (you know, all the errors that IE corrects for you... like not closing tags and such) then you get what you deserve.

D Flower 01-07-2005 07:24 PM

I love Firefox...haven't had any problems so far.

TheMob 01-07-2005 07:29 PM

you'd be insane if you were using ie

KRL 01-07-2005 07:35 PM

Microsoft lost enormous market share over the past couple of months.

Heads will roll soon I'm sure.

By this time next year Firefox will be the dominant browser if this trend continues.

Till Bill buys them out and packages it in windows
:winkwink:

Aric 01-07-2005 07:42 PM

If so many are surfing GFY with FF, then the dev crew better look into the problem of the top banner not showing 40%+ of the time (just a black rectangle)... thought i'd mention that :)

P.S. Since switching to FireFox months ago, not one shred of spyware on this PC. Nada. Zip. Zilch. It's reason enough to change.

groark 01-07-2005 07:48 PM

I use good nice Opera :)

True, you never know. Bill always tries to buy out or buy into his competition. He owns portions of Apple.

please. how dumb are you. IE does not adhear to w3c recommendations IE is notorious for interpreting your code how MS thinks you wanted to code it, not how HTML 4.01 compliant it is.

The Bootyologist 01-07-2005 08:01 PM

i dont use is exclusively

Spunky 01-07-2005 08:01 PM

Well it has cut down on my spyware by 1/3rd :thumbsup
