Epass, what the hell? Is it true that you're dictating programs minimum payouts now?
 

I have a program that I sent 354,000 hits of gallery traffic to (their hosted materials) and they converted like absolute shit (I have screenshots). Basically, I wanted to cut my ties with them totally and never promote them again, which I have and collect my 1:3160 ratio earnings of $40.00 and cut my losses on the $177.00 in traffic.

They tell me that epass has a min threshold agreement of $100.00 payment.

So I'm asking, why (when) does epass get to dictate what a company pays me as a minimum payout threshold?

So EPASS says I haven't met the min to pay, so I should toss an additional $375.00 at this sponsor to hit payout?

FWIW, I've never heard of epass setting a minimum, is this new?

Most programs have a minimum of 50 or 100....the exception is ccbill programs where the minimum is 25.

At most places there's a minimum purchase to use a credit card, etc etc

It's an idea, but getting a check in Mexico is iffy and by the time they get here and back to the bank, sometimes they're already expired :)

I don't think epass dictates anything, maybe your sponsor just wants you to send more traffic or simply just doesnt want to pay you :(

They made a deal with epass, it's not epassporte's decision. At least thats how I read it.

Do a big party at your home.
Ask everyone at your door to signup for this site to join the party.
Reach the minimum payout.
Get your Epass.
Never promote them again.

Adult Site Traffic is correct, he is owed $40 and change. He is also correct when mentioning that our epassporte minimum payout is $100.

What i am a little confused about is, why he is coming to the boards asking how many other programs are "dictated" by Epass as to what the minimum is to be set at? After a long conversation and having to clarify myself, i thought we were clear on things..

When i was told that he would no longer be sending traffic (ie: would not be hitting the $100 min.) i replied that a check would be sent.
This webmaster then told me that he would really "hate to see it get messy".
(i obviously knew he was referring to taking it to the boards)

I spoke with our accounting department and they replied that yes, he would be sent a check. When i relayed this information back to him this morning he replied with:

I never said Epass can't/doesn't payout less than $100 minimum.
I said that we (Epass and TCG) decided OUR minimum payout would be $100 for epass.

Interestingly enough he never even gave us a chance to "make an exception for him". As the minute i mentioned check he threw threats at me about making a mess on the boards!
I could be off here, but in my book that is not the most conducive way to get people to help you. When we didn't bow down to his immature threats he then tried his best to twist my words. At one point he was even trying to say i told him to go out and spend $300+ so that he could make the minimum payout :helpme

TCGs minimum payout is $100. plain and simple. why would it be any different if paid thru epassporte?

There is a reason for the $100.00 min payout on ePassporte, because we are charged $2.00 for each transaction (payment) to webmasters. So to avoid making alot of small payments we set the min to $100.00 for ePassporte payments.

I was the one who set the min payout since I handle webmaster payouts. LL and accounting are simply following the guidelines we have set up, for a reason. So you can blame me, not them.

I guess a check was not what he wanted to hear because he immediately told me he would be disparaging me on the boards.

Sent 354k! Ummm, this is about a sponsor that obviously isn't converting. So a guy wants to get the $40 he earned so that he doesn't have to waste anymore time or money with this company.

So what if it's $40... it shouldn't matter if it's $4 or $400. From reading the icq message it sure looks as though it is being said that they can't pay because they have a minimum set up with epass so they aren't allowed to pay.

Alot of people sign up to sponsors that pay with epass for a specific purpose(like not wanting a check to be sent to Mexico). Come on...sending that much traffic and getting those kinds of results are reason enough to just pay and be done with this. So what if it costs you $2 to send an epass payment, big deal.

We understand that, which is why we have that payment option. LL and our accounting dept are simply following the guidelines we have in place. Payouts to several hundred webmasters, weekly, at $2.00 each will add up, that is the ONLY reason we have a $100.00 min payout.

ePassporte doesn't have a required minimum in order to make the payouts. TCG, being one of the few sponsors that apparently does not deduct the transfer fee from the payout, doesn't want to make payments less than $100 so that they are not wasting money.

Laura Lee gets stuck in the middle and certainly doesn't deserve that.
