Box itself is small, and simple. My suggesting would be to remove the bright blue XTV light from the front. That way, people can have it in their TV cabinet, and nobody has any idea what it is.


Will report back next week when I have a little more time to use the system and play with it.

Ethernet connection (High-speed Internet) with a minimum download speed of 300k and a recommended 500k.

This is IP TV technology. It appears Microsoft is a firm believer that this is the wave of the future.

You sure can. You can actually flip through 50 channels. And that's just for starters.

wait a minute....i just realized something....this isn't tv at all...this is basically an insanely large website in a box....that accesses the internet to grab the on demand stuff....all the same as a website basically...

I'd love to see this product integrate wireless so that it can be used on a TV in another room. I try to keep TV's out of my office for productivity reasons.

The solution is a wireless game adapter .. the same kind used to make a PS2 or XBOX wireless. Our next generation box will solve this issue.

European market is already in the works ... XTV is going global! Customs shouldn't give us too much of a problem, we're an IP set top box. Mainstream skins will also be available soon! :thumbsup

I have large 21" monitors too but it's nice being sprawled out on my couch watching my 50" LCD TV.

Regarding the "porn box" comment ... XTV is currently the first of many networks being release by Interactive Television Networks (ITVN). The other networks are non-adult and provide the "plausible deniability" you would be referring to .. sorta like how Cable and Satellite companies hide their adult PPVs.

I would say to trust me when I say there is a MUCH BIGGER PICTURE involved but then again you've already shown that you've failed to read between the lines ... so why bother :winkwink:

Shaw said it all.... You've got to get the end-user in front of People---to let them see it... marketing via the web won't work as well.

I got my XTV set top box yestarday and hooked it up.

It worked.

I brought friends over and they were hooked.
