Free 2257 software!
Going on the assumption that the recordkeeping / url requirements parts of the new 2257 regs will stay and be upheld, I began writing a PHP script to make the whole thing idiot proof.
The system features a password protected menu system (a guest password is available which you can give the feds, with limited privileges, he he he.) It allows upload of a user defined set of docs, i.e., photo id, contract, etc. with performer name. From there, you can add aliases, shoot date, title of videos, etc. to maintain the various indexes that can be searched. You can also add each url cross referenced to a particular set of docs. Its designed for ease of use and to allow your local FBI agent (or you!) easy access from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day. Its pretty spartan, in fact its called "FUGLY2257" (Fucking Ugly 2257). But I have 25 years of programming consulting experience, mostly trading and international financial institutions, so its also designed to be rock solid and reliable. Documents are stored on your server in protected area as plain Linux files, so even if you totally trashed (or lost) the mysql database you would be able to recreate the database, albeit with a lot of manual labor. It will be released in about 1 week, under a license similar to GPL (free). Joining our 60% afilliate program and throwing a little trafic our way or making a donation is appreciated, but not required. I might offer fee-based support and installation if the demand is high enough, but it will be pretty simple to install. Feedback and suggestions are welcome. As soon as a beta is available I will post a download url with some crude documentation and an installation script. |
Sounds good....looking forward to checking it out!

Based on what you have just told us...The program is not a legal solution.
I would be happy to help you and tell you why and what to do with it but considering that I have been developing a similar product for the last several months, I don't think I want more people who can actually compete with it. Good luck though. It's nice to see people trying to do things like this. |
awesome. this industry will overcome this with some of these types of things.
:thumbsup |
sounds like a good little proggy and the name rocks :) look for a big jump in popularity once we all figure out exactly what we are going to have to deal with
|
Magnificent idea !!
IŽll very much be looking forward to seeing it - and probably using it. Truly a great initiative. |
Good work bro :thumbsup
|
a plain and simple CMS really.
|
Initiative is a thing of beauty... well, sometimes :upsidedow

Like I said. It's nice to see people trying to do something like this. |
great idea, great community spirit! i look forward to seeing your program :)
|
Sounds like a great script..good luck with it
|
great idea pls post the beta link, mx*fuckingcoughidiots*dev have one but theyre a bunch of pay-first-then-expect-nothing so a new prg would def be nice :)
|
i applaud the guys that are working on this sort of script.
once the bugs are out of it, and it has the DOJ blessing, someone is going to be in the big sugar selling it. |
:thumbsup

A number of the people that I have talked to about this have expressed concerns about the DOJ having any involvement at all. They are concerned that this would only add them to a confirmed list of pornographers for the DOJ to follow. Personally, I think having the DOJ in on it is a good idea but I have yet to discuss the impact of such a thing with any legal council. |

I mean people taking an active role in trying to help in any way. I'm really not all that concerned about others. We have received feedback from a few people that bought the MXDevelopment stuff awhile back and as you know, people preferred our product. The kinks seem to be worked out of it now. We should probably discuss public beta testing soon. |

honestly, i think if you use a standard script that has the DOJ's blessing it will be very hard for you to take a pinch due to non-compliance. i think it is crucial that ALL usa content producers get on the same page on this. |
good one bro.
|
Our new software is amazing and will be launched soon.

It's been checked by a lot of people to make sure it's perfect.. and still has more checks to go before we really get people using it for it's beta launch. |

All in all, I think it will be a good solution for anyone (like me) that has paysites and the docs and doesn't mind sitting down and typing the in the urls. There are some pretty sophisticated features you could add, for example scanning a site and producing a list of all hyperlinked images and movies - but I doubt I will get around to that anytime soon. If you have thousands of pages that might be a major shortcoming. |
Sounds good!

yes, any worthwhile program must have a scanning feature to catalog your images on every domain you control. these images should them come up in some sort of a browser that will them match the images with the particular models' ID file. jpg files should be named in code format to allow matching with a specific model ID file. once that is done anyone in the DOJ can right click on a jpg and you can match it in a nanosecond to the model's id file. does not matter if you have 1000 images online or 10 million with a fast desktop you can have the appropriate info immediately. of course i'm not a geek. just thinking about this. |
That is similar to the way this works but not exactly. You can't tell the DOJ they have to sort through 100,000 images and find the right one to click on. So what the program does instead, is let you search by hyperlink of an internet image, model name, model alias, etc. You can then view all your 2257 information and the documents themselves.
So for example you type in www.fuckyou.com/donkeysex.jpg and click "locate". Up pops all the required info, as defined by the proposed regs, and the original docs. Quote:
