How much sleep do you get?
 

Hey everyone,

I'm new here. Anyway, I'm always interested in how much sleep other people get per night, I get between 8 - 10 hours. I'm not raking in the money with my day job or my own sites yet, I'm guessing part of that is that I'm not rationing my sleep like a highly effective person.

How much sleep does everyone get? Does it make you more alert, less alert the less you have?

Anyone else have any thoughts about quantity of sleep and sleeping patterns?

I sleep a max 4 hours a night but i've always been that way

8 hours, no more no less. :)

Usually I try to go to bed before midnight, so I can get up and 8am without feeling tired.

Atleast eight hours for me..

I sleep about 5 hrs, and welcome to the board. Posting to GFY could be your first step to sleep deprivation.

Max is like 4-5 for me, and its been that way since I've been young.

Unfortunately, I max out at 5 hours of sleep... every night.

This is an interesting case of cause and effect.


Do most of you sleep so little because you're too busy with the internet, or has your lack of sleep led you into using this time productively?



For me, its more of the second. Even before I got heavy into webmastering, I still didn't sleep all that much.

6 to 14 hours.

I've suffered from insomnia since I was a child so for me it was a matter of finding a profession suited to that lifestyle. My natural sleep cycle is daytime:sleep - nighttime:work, always has been. :thumbsup

I'm either 4hrs a day (when working) and can do it for weeks at a time - and then when things are cruisy I'll do 10hrs a day for the same kind of periods.

me too I usually sleep from about 7 to 11 but sometimes I go for days without sleep my longest ever was a week but i've just always been that way.

At least 8, but on weekends I sleep up to 12 hours.

normally 6 hrs... sometimes i get up to nine but only if i'm tired as shit or got me some ass b4 i hit the sack :thumbsup:

last time i manage to sleep only 6-7 hours, but frankly it's not enough for me. 9-10 would be ok for me.

On average, I sleep about 480 minutes per day.

i always make sure i get 8 hours of sleep every day.

I sleep a lot!
