I must admit that I have always dissed the newer bands in favor of classic rock, but I have been recently taking a look at some of them and I am impressed. Rock and Roll is alive and well.

My Chemical Romance particularly rocks, IMHO.

I heard them yesterday..kinda different and might build up a following

just heard a couple songs on their band site and they sound like the typical new-punk band.

Eros, never thought of you to be that open minded.. get the latest Alkaline Trio, is a band that i really like and have some actual crunch imso (in my shitty opinion) and i have always liked them and i am as open as a Clay Aitken fan!

...and the music snob in me hurts to admit that the chords progression in the 'Helena' chorus is very catchy and i like it.

...but then again so is the chord progression in Careless Whisper by George Michael or Wham or whatever, so that's that...

I only argue music with musicians, never friends. I just burn my friends good hip hop cd's we grew up on and call it a day. Sometimes they are intriqued by what im listening to and come along for a show.

hehe...although dont get me wrong..i'm really not a metalhead hehe...but I love a bit of metal everyonce in a while...i'm really more into hardcore....and softer shit...like indy/electro etc...depending on my mood...

they fucking suck. their trite, contrived, barely melodic songs make my physically ill. i wish them, and all bands like them would drop fucking dead so people could get back to making real music. they are clogging up airwaves with shit and contributing to the cultural downfall of america.
