OMG! 14yr-old killed a 3yr-old just down the street today!
 

Just came across on the local news - a 14yr-old kid killed a 3yr-old kid in a house just down the street from us earlier today!!

Damn, and I recall hearing a lot of cop sirens in the neighbourhood earlier this morning, too :Oh crap

Police aren't releasing many details as yet. Might be more on it at 11pm news.

How horrible - poor baby. I don't even want to imagine the kind of pain that family is going through right now, and the family of the 14 year old is experiencing a world of hurt, too.

Apparently the 3yr-old was a foster child...and the 14yr-old was a biological son. Nothing else known as this point.

My wife's good friends with the local chief of detectives wife...I'll get her to give'er a call and maybe get some lowdown.

Just got back from takin' a quick cruise past the house - two cop cruisers parked out front...wall-to-wall police tape, and oddly the front door to the house is wide open (despite the major snowstorm hittin' us at the moment).

About a month and half ago, 3 people killed themselves (driving into a train trying to play cool) just about 100 meters from my house.

I wasn't paying much attention, but I thought they said a 14-year-old girl was the accused?

Update:

The story made the national news here in Canada the other night.

They've now charged a 14-yr-old girl with 1st-degree murder in the death of the 3yr-old. Autopsy revealed the little boy was smothered to death.

Both children were foster kids and the house was apparently a group home for troubled teens. The 14yr-old girl accused of the murder was just transferred to the home only a few hours before the boy's body was discovered.

It was reported tonight the 14yr-old girl accused was smiling at her lawyer in court yesterday as though she didn't comprehend the seriousness of the situation.

I drive by the house daily...its just around the corner from us :Oh crap

I know when I was 14 I knew that killing a person wasn't a good thing. This is just ridiculous the violence kids are doing these days... just sad really.

That's terrible. That 14 year old must have been really disturbed to kill a child especially just hours after getting there. It sounds like she was very frustrated with life.

it's nothing to do with music or violent games.

most kids in foster care come from fucked-up parents... and I don't know about anyplace else, but the way it works in Canada is they only try to help the kids, after their parents have fucked them beyond repair.
