How important is your mobile phone to you?
I am really starting to feel that I am one of the few people that isn't really all that bothered about having a phone that does anything more than makes calls and get sms text messages. My friends are always giving me a hard time because I rarely have mine even turned on. I don't like the society has changed to a place where you have to be contactable at every moment of every day. Sometimes I just want to get lost for some times and not feel I have to reachable.
So..are you a slave to your phone? |
Cant live without it!
if i turn mine off, i have a fear of "who called me?" hahaha
some days i turn my ringer off and dont bother with it (so i can have my peace) but regardless, i gotta see who at least tried to call me. |
very very important
ough i need it a lot
too much imo |
I can't stand my phone. Rarely have it on me and when I do I'm lucky if it's charged. I use it for traveling and safety and when I need to make outgoing or long distance calls.
Yup, I'm another person who hates their mobile phone. I have a fancy one with a truckload of features, all of which are useless.
I usually dislike when someone calls me, unless I'm sitting and waiting for their call. I try to keep it turned off most of the time. |
i just use mine for calls and text messages - but for some reason, it has become a part of me and i feel naked if i dont have it! x
Too reliant, As i found out when i lost it at Internext. Im just glad someone found it and answered it when i called it.
Mine is so important I haven't used it for 3 months. :) I hate that thing.
I dont use one at all :) Yes thats right, someone on the planet does not even have a cell phone, OMG! :D hehehe
had one, never used it, waste of money, i could see if i was in a business where i needed 24/7 access to partners or clients, but i don;t.

So -- NO I'm not a slave to my mobile phone. :winkwink: |
I'd be lost without my mobile.
I love mine. I haven't had a house phone in years I just use my cell phone. I am not a big phone chatter but it is nice to always have on especially if you are a parent and you children are not with you.
My phone is slave to me.
I dont really use it, but it gets abused all day. |
I hate phone conversations personally ... So not important at all.
I got 2, my wife has one, my kids both have one. They all stay turned on, excepts the wifes. She doens't keep it charged. So I told her save some $, get it turned off. Her answer...What if I'm driving and break down somewhere?. Wtf, who you going to call with a dead phone?? :banana
Oh my god. Even though I have a mobile phone I don't oftenly use it. Why should I need a phone when I don't even need to call my bitches. They are the one who go directly to my place. Mobile phones are just for losers.
I love mine, although I don't need fancy stuff on it, just need to make calls and receive them and I love text messaging!
I don't have a house phone.. I use mine all the time, that way I can do anything and don't have to sit at home waiting for a call that I am expecting. |
Got a new one a few weeks ago (2-3 weeks) and love it, spend around 12 hours talking in it so far, so guess it is rather important for me

Yikes..fried brain. Hope you have a hands free kit atleast. |
I don't even own one. I work from home and only go out for personal business so if people can't leave a message on my home phone while I'm out, their loss. I'm starting to think I should have one in the car for emergencies though.
I don't like it...
I've pretty much avoided them for years, but finally broke down and picked one up...suddenly, I've become one of those idiot ringtone junkies that I used to tease...
my wallpaper is a pic of my kids and my main ringtone is Carcass "Go To Hell" nothing like a death metal ringtone while having the phone on vibrate mode...of course when my ex-wife calls, the ringtone is SLAYER's "Raining Blood" ;) |
I have one of those nice camera phones..I dont use it very much but when I go out of town. I had to get hubby his own and his own phoneline for his phone bitch friends. Every single time I went out of town, all of them would call me looking for hubby... if only they would have tried calling the home phone instead.
Now the hubby cant live without his.. I swear its glued to his hand. When I go on my wilderness trips, I like to see where I can get recpetion and at what alittitude...but if I dont turn it off..it makes these buzzing noises that sound like a bee and I will be swatting at my head all day till I realize its the fucking phone telling me someone has called..ugh. |
I really could care less, i have an ugly cheap one and i never use it because I work from home so I never have use for it. What do I need a call for if I never leave the house. I only use it for rare occassions when I actually leave my house.
always in my pocket, one of the things i can't live without
:smokin |
I don't even know my cellphone # without looking up the paperwork. It rides around in my glovebox for safety. The people who call me already call me too much, no way I'm giving them 24/7 access :upsidedow
Super important to me, as it is the only phone number I have.
Ask Legendary Lars :)
I hardly use mine, luckily we have a shared account so my wife can dip into my unused spend. (In Australia you generally pay a minimum monthly amount with $x worth of calls included)
I almost always have my phone charged, and with me, but I'm certainly not a phone freak! :) I'd probably have it to my ear less than 15 minutes per month. |
So important that I thought someone at the Hotel stole it in Vegas and I was ready to go to jail kicking someones ass if it hadn't showed up. Lucky for them it did!!!

haha me too. I had to put it as an entry in my phone becaue when people ask for it I never have a clue. One of my friends got all pissy with me because they sent me a text message asking me if I wanted to go out and I didn't get it because my phone was off as usual. My response was 'I DO have a home phone and you DO have the number.' It is like people forget there is still the real phone. |
yea i hate to admit it. i am crazy about my phone i love having a camera, phone, text, and everything all at my hands. if you really want to escape just turn it off
My phone is always near me. I don't use it that much, but I think it's important to be easy to contact.
My phone & my Blackberry complete me.... :Oh crap
I'd love it if the damn thing worked  Something is wrong with the phone so i get lots of dropped calls and hardly any reception.
I do feel I should come clean a bit and say I do own two mobiles. One for the UK and one for the States when I am there. They are both pay as you go though because I don't use either enough for a contract.
