doctor dude

Ice 01-28-2006 09:09 PM

You might have to take her to the emergency if she isn't keeping anything down bro. I'm not a doctor but I would to be safe if it was my child.

C_U_Next_Tuesday 01-28-2006 09:10 PM

make sure she has lots of water, they have that pedialite at the grocery store..this is like baby gatorade, it will keep her elctolytes in check with all the fluids she is losing. Dont give her any more formula till you can get to the doctors Monday. She wont starve and it might quit all the runs she is having.

Make sure you keep an eye on her temperature and keep her hydrated as much as possible ..dehydration deaths can occur in small babies easily when they are sick like this (not trying to freak you out or anything, just be aware of it)

good luck

Sly 01-28-2006 09:11 PM

I would imagine she's getting extremely dehydrated, which isn't going to help much. I would call an ER and see if they think you should bring her in.

Veterans Day 01-28-2006 09:13 PM

we went through the same thing last year, pedialyte didnt do shit, she wouldnt keep it down. I would go to an ER, the last thing you fuck around with is your kids.

good idea :thumbsup

sonofsam 01-28-2006 09:13 PM

why ask GFY? if you are concerned about her, take her to the ER

better safe then sorry

Persignup Dustin 01-28-2006 09:15 PM

I find it a mixture of concern and irony that you are requesting the help of a buncha adult webmasters for your little baby...

Why? I'm willing to bet that 80% of the people over the age of 25 here at GFY have kids.

Raven 01-28-2006 09:18 PM

go to the store immediately and give her pedialyte. stop giving her any milk.
if she is not better by tomorrow morning, get her to the er immediately.

exactly what the persian, french, canadian guy said

Chris 01-28-2006 09:25 PM

she has had two bottles of pedalyte and she is holding it down
i got ahold of my dad ( who is a paramedic ) and he said that taking her to the ER will result in a 14 hour wait ( he is working toinght - er is busy ) and if i called an ambulance it would be considered non emergncy and I would get moved to the waiting room

sucks that my doc aint in tell monday
hopefully she will be over it in the morning and just a 24 hour bug

dude - trust me and others take her - $250 is nothing compared to a more serious issue - babies dont have a lot of liquid in their system to handle such dehydration - quit arguing and get on the road

I paid for the whole pregancy without insurance
I paid for everything up to 12 months of age without insurance
I now have insurance as doctor visits come up more often
