I thought WW3 was the Cold War...

It's been WW3 since the Soviet Union disintegrated. This is just the middle game.

Nope, WW III started in 1979 when our embassy in Iran was invaded and US hostages were taken.

Yes, but the previous two world wars began with small, isolated events. One was an assasination.

Right now, there is potential for Syria, Iran and the United States, just to name a few, to move in.

Like I said, potential.

WW II fought Nazism.

The Cold War fought communism.

WW III is fighting radical Islam.

Israel is to the US now, what Serbia was to the Russians in the summer of 1914.
