Slick 08-04-2006 09:31 PM

How the hell is it so cheap for all of you ?? Is that partial pay ??? I thought about getting health insurance for my wife and kids, but always thought that since we're younger, we'd hold off instead of paying $1,000 per month for shitty coverage. In a year's time, we spend maybe $1,000 total for doctor bills.

I know, I know, if something bad should happen, I'd be fucked, yeah, I know that, but for now, me and the wife are 32, so hopefully we'll have a few more health issue free years ahead of us (knock on wood). I just can't see pissing all of that money away.

I'm no expert in this area, so please correct me if I'm wrong with the price.

no clue man, but what I have is the standard Aetna plan for a 31 year old male in Georgia....$108 gets me $30 copay, $15 prescriptions and I can hit any doctor I want, i don't have to be in their "network"....

bausch 08-04-2006 09:57 PM

I pay $212 for health and $18 for dental. It doesn't matter what I pay cause I get to write it off because I'm self employed. It's a business expense.

Stevie 08-04-2006 10:08 PM

I pay $187 a month.....but ya gotta have it.

FunForOne 08-05-2006 04:27 AM

Get a HSA plan. All insurance companies have that option. Tax advantages and ass saving coverage.

Doctor Dre 08-05-2006 04:29 AM

A little too much in taxes I guess ... I don't exactly know.

justsexxx 08-05-2006 04:35 AM

I pay 110 euro a month for full coverage...So dentist, all doctors etc etc...Also I am covered for surgeries in foreign countries world wide...

When the costs of your doctor/dentist visits is lower than 250euro in a year, you get the difference back...

So

no costs at all 250 euro back
dentist cost 50 euro, 200 euro back etc

GFX Wiz 08-05-2006 04:58 AM

Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida for myself and 3 year old son -- personal policy...not through an employer.

$233/month

GeorgeM 08-05-2006 05:03 AM

Ross 08-05-2006 05:08 AM

Nothing. We get free health care in the UK.

Fenris Wolf 08-05-2006 12:26 PM

For the wife $206 a month for her Blue Cross PPO plan. I just have emergency care coverage and that's $65 a month. That's what I get for living in SoCal, higher prices.

E$_manager 08-05-2006 02:51 PM
