"Casino Royale"........My Take On This Movie

Best Bond movie ever, and best Bond ever in Daniel Craig. A great show. Go!

I predict Casino Royale will do for the Bond franchise what "Batman Begins" did for the Batman franchise. A new lease on life! Very entertaining and surprising. Well done!

Tempest 11-17-2006 10:34 PM

When I first heard that Daniel Craig was going to be the new Bond I was like WTF?? But then I saw Layer Cake and could really see him as Bond.. Am looking forward to watching the movie, I've been hearing nothing but good things about it.

tony286 11-17-2006 10:35 PM

how does he compare to Sean?

marketsmart 11-17-2006 10:35 PM

you saw the movie yet?

He gets quite sadistic in it, which is good to see actually, as its the more realistic portrayal of what a James Bond character would actually have to experience. Well acted, the script is tight, the character development is very good........its a really good flick!

Believe me or not, he's better than Sean Connery.

I have to go see it now, when I was a kid 8 yrs old they used to have triple james bond features(Dr No, From Russia with Love and thunderball). My poor dad after working all day would take me to them.

Tony, you won't be disappointed, but make no mistake; this is a SERIOUS Bond movie. It has a sense of humor, but the childlike campiness that accompanied many past Bond films is gone. The script actually has a brain behind it.

BlueDesignStudios 11-17-2006 11:14 PM

Can't wait to see this one.. Bond movies are all great entertainment!

Naughty Pyne 11-17-2006 11:31 PM

I bought a ticket on Fandango and missed my showing! $11.00 well spent!

MyNameIsNobody 11-17-2006 11:48 PM

I think Daniel Craig could do a great job. Really looking forward to seeing that movie

xbizdon 11-17-2006 11:50 PM

Its the longest Bond movie but the pace was very good; lotsa early action and then suspense with the card playing, for example. His love interest is also smoking hot and simply beautiful, the lovely Eva Green, and their relationship is handled well.

Paul Haggis helped write it so that tells a lot (Crash). Its a smart script, especially for a Bond movie.

leftybogs 11-18-2006 12:39 AM

i thought it was not that great... but it was cool!!:thumbsup

I agree. It still had a sense of humor but the silly stuff was gone.

The girl didn't do much for me.

You were a no show - this is unacceptable. Unless you were working.

Thurbs 11-18-2006 01:55 AM

daniel craig is a great bond .. plays the early bond well, rough and not so sauve. can't compare him to Sean, two different Bond Movie types .. completely different direction in Bond Movies from Golden Eye on.

i'd venture to say he's better than Brosnan however.

starpimps 11-18-2006 02:03 AM

saw the movie today
was better than the last one but i wouldnt say best ever

Actually where I come from (Hollywood) Batman Begins was the death nell of that franchise.

martinsc 11-18-2006 02:40 AM

i'm looking forward to seeing it....

Yanto 11-18-2006 02:42 AM

born4porn 11-18-2006 02:44 AM

I have heard nothing but good about the movie since the critics put their foot in it and panned his performance only to do a back flip and fall in line with public opinion! :1orglaugh

I am really looking forward to seeing it! :thumbsup

Sarah_Jayne 11-18-2006 10:44 AM

I was actually afraid that Daniel Craig would be too good an actor for the film.

NETbilling 11-18-2006 10:46 AM

I saw it last night as well. It was a very good movie.

DWB 11-18-2006 11:13 AM

The best Bond ever!!!!!

squishypimp 11-18-2006 11:19 AM

i need to see it.

Vendzilla 11-18-2006 11:23 AM

I really liked it, the foot chase at the begining was un-real , it was like spiderman trying to catch Jackie Chan. This Bond was very raw and very smart, the most athletic of all the bonds too! Not too many gadgets, more pure nerve. I hope he makes another just like it or even finds room for improvement. This was the first story that Ian Fleming wrote about James Bond and someone said it was first published in Playboy. here's a cool page for Bond Fans http://www.playboy.com/arts-entertai...es_bonds_desk/

Mackone 11-18-2006 11:41 AM

The best Bond ever and the only real Bond is Sean Connery. The End!

Pleasurepays 11-18-2006 11:45 AM

when i first saw that this guy was going to be the new Bond,... i pretty much thought the same thing i thought when i saw that jaquine phoenix was going to be johnny cash - "no fucking way". now that i have seen the previews, i really can't wait to see it.

Previous Bond films have been more silly fun for the boys than top notch acting. So, most of the actors have fit that level needed. Craig is a 'proper actor' if that makes any sense and sometimes that can feel wrong when the rest of the film isn't at the same same level.

madawgz 11-18-2006 11:46 AM

i will have to watch it...maybe its not as bad as i think....

Star 69 11-18-2006 11:51 AM

Yes, it's a great movie.

Violetta 11-18-2006 11:52 AM

awsome... I am a big fan, and looking forward to it!

LittleSassy 11-18-2006 12:00 PM

Have you seen it yet, Sarah? Craig is dynamite as 007 in this one. I actually think they nailed who and what a James Bond would really be, act like, and respond too. He would actually be sadistic in ways and "enjoy" killing the bad guys.
