Should i let my wife work a job? thoughts?
 

She is sorta bored just hanging around the house all day.

We dont need the money...but she thinks it would be nice for her to be doing something.

I dont know what to tell her....we will have kids in maybe one year. So she can take care of them better if she isnt working.

Maybe i should get her making galleries or some shit to keep her busy....lol

She can go shopping or some shit with her friends each day.

If she was going to be doing any work..id rather it was just for us....maybe she can start another little store or something.

Let her do something. You are fortunate to have a woman that is mature, responsible and giving.
You should look at it as an honor, and be proud of the kind of Lady you have.
It's not like she's going to be running Intel in the next few months, and can't take off for kids, if that is in your future.

Seriously though, my wife stayed home for a year to work with me and was miserable. She wanted to spend more time with the kids and have more freedom, but after a couple of months found herself missing the adult interaction she got outside the home.

So I allowed her to go back to work.

If you're not having kids for another year, she can still work up to that point. After that, I definitely think someone should stay home with the kids. I really don't understand the desire some have to send kids to a day-care type setting so both parents can work if it isn't really needed.

Anyway, where are the feminists of the board? How dare you think you can control your wife like that!

When she comes home today, you tell her you need to talk to her.
Take her to your livingroom and go close to her and give her the hardest bitchslap ever known to man. And say, you will stay home and take care of the house, food.

I don't think i'd want to be with a girl who didn't work, or didn't want to work. I don't need someone bugging me all day while im trying to get shit done and its not like its the 50's any more. the more income the better i say.

i do it myself i have a couple computers..so it is really just click and it goes..just sucks to wait for it.

If you tell her that she and her friends are in charge of making the yard beautiful for a big summer party/bbq (pick a date to make it a real goal), she'll get excited about it. Heck, I'd love to do that! :)

but seriously, its a nice feeling doing some sort of work, to make your life have meaning. Even if it doesn't pay well, sitting at home and doing nothing is really boring. Have her do something that takes up her time or have her find a hobby to enjoy life a little than having her do nothing than watch tv all day :)

Why don't you suggest she do some part time volunteer work. Lots of people need help and if you do not need the $$ it is a great way of giving back to society.
