I got the impression Istanbul is not too big on the nightlife, my gf and I found exactly one club that had actually had a customer. Of course, it was all Russians ... which was fine for me :)

tranza 10-30-2007 06:03 AM

With the current tensions I'd never go to Turkey.

But Istanbul does look like a very beautiful city.

:2 cents:

Only to muslims, but turkey has turned away from it's roots and gave up it's soul just to join the EU. Still a great country though.

Scott McD 10-30-2007 09:10 AM

I always hear very mixed reports about Turkey.

Some people still love it, yet some come back with horror stories about the place...

Vegas Ken 10-30-2007 09:20 AM

Thanks for sharing the pics. Looks like an awesome trip.

Our soul comes from central Asia and Siberia, we are not middle easterns, Your point is misleading even though it's little bit telling about our tragedy.

if You ask me as a normal citizen, i don't wanna enter EU. and everybody should know that Turks doesn't govern themselves, nova days we are governed by assholes, which branded "made in USA" and they want to bring us back to where we wher before 1923 but thanks we don't want it, we are still visiting our Dad ATATÜRK and dumping our teers for him, He was a greatest lieder of the 20. century and any of Your presidents and kings respecting his graveness and greatness, No miss understanding please, im not insulting or something, but want to tell You about our tragedy.

i hope that helps even little bit.

peace.

That's basically what I said. lol - turkey is selling itself out to join the EU which is sad :(.

I'mhalf bosnian so we have respect for turks:thumbsup

femdomdestiny 10-30-2007 09:42 AM

Great City, I was there last year.I like them very much even if Turks ruled my country for around 500 years.(Serbia :). People are polite and affraid of police. I was witness of incredible police brutality, but that is how probably must be done if you want to prevent crime and I support that.I am sorry that I wasn't there longer and didn't knew anybody from there to show me more places in town.Prices are so low that it was incredible and everything was ok (even a police officer on custom who made a joke, and told me that my passport is fake :). Actually, only problem was going out with my girlfriend who is blond which so interesting to them and they can't stop looking and giving stuff for free in many stores. It was risk to let her go without male escort since some of them become agresive and start to put hands on her.
Anyway, I will go there again, definitely and full support to Turks fighting Kurds in Iraq.

buzzy 10-30-2007 09:44 AM

UH OH ITS A SERB....

hehe joking

pozdrav :D

ooh mate, sorry for Your gf, say hi from me, our people can not say "no" to a slavic women since we touched a middle east lol

and about Ottamans; believe me as a PanTurkist person; i believe and many people believes like me, Ottaman Emppire killed our identity with many ways and Turks didn't gain mutch with it, ok we made great wars, we ocupide almost 3 continent but After new age, government corrapted and Turks got the worse harm from it, as i told that above as a PanTurkist Person, i m missing Kuns, KökTürks and Turk-Mongol empire (Chingiz Empire) but not Ottaman Empire, because we are like a tree who pulled from the ground now.

anyway thanks for the support and kind words :)

the kurds are even inside Turkiye btw :) when they do something bad in europ some of them says we are Turks, but if they did something good then they say they are Kurds, Kind of cheap people ;)
