Ok people, let's show the media we really do care. I am not going to come in here begging for money, it's not my style. But if anyone cares to help us out we would be grateful, that's for sure. No amount is too small. We are hoping we can raise enough of a reward fund so that people might take enough interest in this case and hopefully attract the attention of some bounty hunters. We want to see Israel Mireles in custody and answering to the law.

And last, we want to thank everyone for the support you've shown in the last 72 hours. It's still nice to see there is decency, tenderness and compassion in our industry thats so much frowned upon by the public.

I really hope they find out who did this its horrible what happened. I'm just glad that your getting a lot of support from everyone. :)

Of if the reward gets to a decent size someone may very well persue him down there or some upstanding mexicans who want some cash may smuggle him back into the states to collect. I think the trick would be to get flyers made in spanish and spread out in areas of Mexico that he may show up. Since most flee to places where family stay.

Sue Martens was the last person to speak to Victoria Martens. Sue is Victoria's grandmother, who lives in Baxter Springs.

Victoria is also 24-year-old Israel Mireles' girlfriend. He is wanted in connection with the disappearance of Emily Sander. That disappearance turned into a homicide investigation Thursday when a body matching Sander's description was found along U.S. 54 east of El Dorado.

Victoria was staying with her grandmother in Baxter Springs when Mireles came from El Dorado on Saturday. Victoria, according to Sue Martens, left willingly with Mireles for Vernon, Texas where his family lives. That is where authorities found the rental car Mireles was driving.

Sue Martens tells Eyewitness News the KBI came to her house with questions after the two had left. She says authorities told her they found a knife, clothing, and car keys in a trash can outside her house. Some of the items had blood on them. El Dorado Police Chief Tom Boren would not confirm that Friday night.

Victoria's grandmother last heard from her granddaughter on Sunday. She said Victoria called, briefly describing Mireles' explanation of what happened in the El Dorado motel: Mireles met Sander and her brother at a bar in El Dorado. The three of them eventually ended up at Mireles' motel room. That's where a fight started between Mireles and Sander's brother.

At that point in the conversation, Sue Martens said Mireles cut Victoria off and the phone line went dead. Her grandmother said she doesn't think Mireles would hurt Victoria, but is still worried. Victoria is several months pregnant.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the El Dorado Police Department at (316) 321-9120 or the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-KS-CRIME.
