How much would i be worth to your company as an employee?
I thouht this would be fun to see what other people think. I have no idea what my value as an employee would be since I have always been self employed.
I know i will get some " haha's $200 a week " but what do you think my value would be to your company? Please only those people who actually own a company comment. Assuming I would work 40 hours a week. I have been around since 1999 always worked for myself. I owned membership sites, helped affiliates, make good creatives, stuff like that. You would get the whole sig bit and i would continue to post on here and other boards. I would guess a rep / in charge of creatives (marketing and promotion) would be my best position. Also looking over your entire site and suggesting better way to do things, including new features, maximizing your traffic/ revenue.... coming up with no ideas for your company for new sites, etc.. So if i became available tomorrow what would my worth in the adult industry be? Would i be too much of a liability to your bro status and you wouldn't want me ? |
I think you need to work on your CV a bit more. :)
Seriously you need to give us more info. Like what do you do today, do you still manage sites, if so show them, if not why not, we would need to see what ideas you have already to know if those ideas will work in the future. |
Such a vague introduction would def. require a portfolio.
|
I don't own a business as of yet... still working on it, but I would have to say if you are working for someone else professionally on an hourly rate; you could get around $20.00 - $35.00 if you are doing programming or promotions ( both on and off line )
If you are working under contract perhaps twice the amount... But again I am just guessing... Later, . |
knowing you from your past experience and seeing what you did with teamclickash, i would think you could easily be in charge of affiliate operations for a major porn studio and be making upwards of $80k/year
|
Well I know my management has worked with you in the past and mentioned you,so based on that Im going to say $150-250k a year.
I only based that on the short brief I heard about a project they worked on with you,you could be worth 10 times more as I know they spoke very high of your skills. |
Depending on the position and responsibilities you would take on....
|
If thats yer resume...
I would say you do not qualify for any job in the biz. Maybe Jizz Mopper at the local porn shop. Try that out:) |
I'm sure Zango would be interested in paying you money.

A maximum of 30% of what the company makes back with your skills/time.
|
I wouldn't commit to a high monthly salary to pretty much anyone, but rather a minimum monthly salary + % of your client portfolio.
I want people to be self motivated, and I do not believe that will be the case if you receive a good salary regardless of your dedication to your work |
I personally think people are severly overpaid in this section of the biz. Not having a jab at you will, I just think it would be better to start a company or venture yourself rather than be at the command of someone else.
good luck. |

I dont understand people putting others down the way they are in this board when all he did in his humble way ask a valid opinion from people here....man people are mean....will sounds like a cool cat!

Here's some advice.
If you're in or near CA, get a list of all the top DVD suppliers, like Zane, Anabolic, etc and see which ones do not have a decent functioning website and not selling their content to or via content stores. Do some research and then make an appointment to see them and pitch you running their web side. They are slowly realising their future is the Internet. They will come over and with your knowledge, their content portfolio, name and resources you have a very powerful program. It is happening already and it will snowball. some will buy up the people, like Playboy, Penthouse, etc others will set it up themselves and others will take on people like you. |

oh man don't worry about it, it was expected and to some degree is comical. If the people making the insults had any idea how much more i make then them i don't think they would be laughing. If i had to take a job for whatever reason I would put together a professional resume, acutally use spell checker, and shoot for a VP of a large company or CEO of a small to med size company. About the only thing I don't have experience in is shooting content. I am not trying to blow my own horn just curious what some of these guys make and what people actually think I would be worth to them. I see some of these clowns that bounce around from company to company from high up positions to site reps and I can't believe these guys make good money but I wouldn't be surpised if they do. |
Are you a programmer will76 ?
. |
As much as you bring in, minus 20-50%, depending on the circumstances.

Actually will76 your question was a good one even if no one agrees... It seems that making money south of the border is easier then here in Canada and I to am wondering how much a webmaster starting off working for someone else makes yearly without much experience...

What skills do you have, is this aimed at the adult industry or just any job?

lets say all the skills to run a company, manage staff, work first hand with creative side from promos to site design, someone that actually knows what they are doing, that can make the business more profitable, from top to bottom and expand it. What would someone like that make ? and not 20% of what he brings in but salary + bonus for the person running the company. |
Well I guess it depends directly on how much is coming into the business to start and how productive you are and what you have to offer to the business.
But I'm not sure what the going rate is... does anyone know what the starting wage for an adult webmaster would be? Later, . |

To me, and I dare say to many others, someone who delivers is worth a damn lot. |
I think that if I had an affiliate program and I made $2K a day... and this was just the average here because if I was hiring you it would be like have two of me here and I would have already maximized the profits... I could see you adding about $500 a day to my program per quarter employed.
Hiring you would be a long term investment. I would probably start you at $75,000 + a bonus that would equal another $100,000 for every $500 a day you add. If you chose to continue after 3 to 4 years I would offer to add you in for a percentage. |
Of course this would be additional income I could directly attribute to your work. Your tweaking. Your mind. I would expect my program to also grow on its own. Probably only need you for 30 hours. Basically come in a few days to tune things so you can get back to your own shit.

Was it not reported a few months back that the porn industry is loosing billions per year... is this true that there is a slow down and it is not as easy to make money in the porn industry?
Later, . |
considering you make over a million a year (i think) i assume whoever hired you would have to pay you over that to take you away from your current position.
with all these 100k a years jobs and such, you would just turn it down. (or someone in a similar position, who does want a job). Wether you are worth that to a company, i dont know. |
