digifan 04-01-2008 12:42 PM

Pretty cool.

bdld 04-01-2008 12:49 PM

nice move, its time to take them on.

Michael O 04-01-2008 12:50 PM

Great news.
It requires a couple of big guys to step up.

CarlosTheGaucho 04-01-2008 12:50 PM

Time to step in for all those evolution gurus who sponsor the content theft to put their evolution theories down.

And I don't mean to explain us that people are in their nature thieves and go for a quick buck and if they wouldn't go for a quick buck there would be someone else going for a quick buck.

I would want them to neglect the stimulation behind the demand, to neglect the main motivation of the surfer to search and pay for porn.

The more influental people like Platinum Dave, Steve Lightspeed or XXXJay come out of the closet and support publically the fight against content theft the better...

SteveLightspeed 04-01-2008 12:52 PM

This industry needs its leaders to be ready to step up against ANY threat. Way to go Dave!

Count me in, too. You know me, I love a good fight.

Steve Lightspeed

MichaelP 04-01-2008 12:52 PM

Nice Move Dave! :thumbsup

I think people know I'm the biggest supporter of all this stuff, but done the right way.

Its only a matter of time before more and more program owners start feeling more of a throbbing pain on their balls from all the bullshit going on now a days. big affiliates fucking the programs that made them big starting these stolen content tubes. i can name 5 off the top of my head that came out of massive tgp/mgp networks and ramped traffic to the tube in mad fashion. affiliates who made ass loads of money through sponsors that are now stealing everything they can find from the same sponsors to feed their tubes, only to send the traffic to aff and the like. you'd be surprised who's behind some of these new tubes, and theres more coming. thats all i'm sayin. there is some shit going down, some big shit and if people like dave want in, they're surely welcome to.

Interesting, What do you think about your buddy drinkinghardests affiliation with the tube sites like tube8?
I was under the impression you two were/are pretty close.

But what's theirs motivation? I don't get it, why would you want to go out of the profitable business of tease and pay.

To cause loss to the video programs in terms of traffic and conversion rate and make more affiliates promote cams and dating?

To get the biggest market share on the market you are about to shrink into one hundredth of what it was?

SleazyDream 04-01-2008 01:10 PM

i'm behind u dave!

Nydahl 04-01-2008 01:11 PM

must bump this

DaddyHalbucks 04-01-2008 01:14 PM

Makes alot of sense.

crockett 04-01-2008 01:14 PM

Well sounds like the start of a class action suite. You guys should pull some strings and bring in some other players. Split the bill and start the law suites.

You are under the wrong impression. Mark and I went in on one business venture that failed 18 months ago called P2P ads.

Bump for a good cause! I think you guys are right. If we find enough of the major players in the industry to step up we can put an end to this or at least hurt them financially. Go get 'em Dave!

brand0n 04-01-2008 01:35 PM

Brazzers, Sexsearch, Fling, etc. buys ads on some of the most popular tubes. Those companies are associated with companies that produce a lot of content..

I think Tubes are a wake up call to the Older Affiliate Programs.. Step up your game.. Step up your members areas.. Step up the quality of your sites/content.. Give the surfer what you promise for an affordable price.

Platinum Dave and Dan always seem ready to step up and fight for what is right and I commend them on that.

Piracy is a problem in every industry ESPECIALLY ours and if they can nip these tubes in the butt while it's early it can only be for the best.

XMaster 04-01-2008 02:01 PM

bump for a lost cause

maxpower 04-01-2008 02:07 PM

Good stuff Dave :thumbsup

To me, it still seems a lot easier to go after the sponsors that support tube sites. For example, tube# seems to make all of their money off of AFF. So, why don't we stand together to persuade AFF to stop paying tube#. An easy start to this is an organized boycott of sponsors who are paying illegal tube sites.

I'm not saying going after the tube sites themselves is a bad idea, I just think a multi-front approach is better and I believe the sponsor angle is easier.

Platinum Dave 04-01-2008 03:30 PM

I'm getting hurt like everyone else in this industry is getting hurt.

Its time to step up and do something not whine about it.

I happen to be in a situation where I can make a difference and I won't just sit on the sidelines and not at least try.

maxpower 04-01-2008 03:35 PM

So the Tube Wars Begin!!!!! :BangBang::party-smi

papill0n 04-01-2008 04:32 PM

Very good to see. So far we have some big names who are speaking up against all the bullshit going on.

Dave apart from law suits do you see any other way the average adult webmaster can help protect our industry?

Check out redtube and there are 5 or so sponsors working with them everyday. I have brought it up here but there was not much action http://www.gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/814153-redtube.html I agree that putting pressure on the people that support them can help. But nobody has the balls to call out their bros.

Then there is the GTS thing and tube8. DH and the sponsors above are trying to make them legit by working with them while they steal. They will all be legit soon so lets make money now while they are illegal, or something along those lines is what they say, LOL. I really do not get that but anyways ...

There are also tubes out there that use other peoples content to try and sell their paysite. Anyone who reads this board often knows what I am talking about. It has been brought up many times but again but people who could make a difference turn a blind eye.

On another note look at pornhub and freeporn now adays. This is on the other side of the illegal tube site. From what I understand they have legally bought or use the content. They are showing 20+ min videos and it is legally bought. I find myself going to pornhub now more than any of the other illegal sites as they have the longest videos. Will I ever click on ads there or join a paysite, probably not, but sure people do. However, the freeloaders are happier than ever and potential buyers are going to go more and more to the; get it free route. If not initially, eventually.

So this is the industry now adays. People giving full movies away for free to make advertising money, legal or illegal. Since as of yet none of these models have been proven to be profitable, we can only wait and see what happens. Yeah; maybe some are profitable but for how long ...

I for one don't even put time into this industry anymore and only have three sponsors listed on some toplists. Almost every sponsor is dirty in this new adult world. In fact one that I removed a while back has partnered with one of the criminals and responds it is a way to adapt and get with the times essentially. The tubes are not going anywhere ...

And they are not but, people should try to gain some reason in all this getting traffic. Is it really smart to post 30 minute videos to get more traffic than the next tube? I don't think it is, but heck I have been wrong before and maybe I am missing something. But if I don't go anywhere but to the next tube that has the longest videos, what are the surfers doing?

People can post all the dinosaurs they want and attempt to laugh their way to the bank, but what you have here is the downfall of the models that used to be profitable. Sure there will always be people willing to buy traffic at a loss, but when there is no need for people to pay anymore. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Tgp traffic in some cases became very unprofitable; so what better than to sell spots and get guaranteed money. The tubes regardless if they are legit or not also get guaranteed money from advertisers; or if not that make attempts at selling memberships. I hope for the sake of many that things do work out and people can still make money, but in this state it seems stale.

One thing before I end don't tell me that the old tgp / mgp pics or 3 minute clips is anywhere in the same league of the 40 min video tubes with instant access to any part of the video that you want. It is not the same :winkwink:

A note of advice check who you work with closely and you will not be happy. Out of 100's of sponsors it seems none of them are clean.

Anyways, just ranting and I am not going to try and edit mistakes or anything because I already wasted too much time on this anyways, go on with you days ...
