Just like the TGPS, TGP2 and the MPG did right?
|
If you can't compete with Tube sites you're doing something wrong. They are shite.
|
It's the worst thing that ever happened !
I was here since late 96 and trust me, IT IS ! Now all of you saying you need to adjust blahblahblah you're fucking ridiculous if you ain't seeing it. It is nothing compared to TGPS and alike They don't have to buy anything. NADA, RIEN Webmasters don't even have to pay for content ! Sites you thought would last forever are declining. Arent' you seeing worst and worst ratios ? Aren't you seeing worst and worst rebills ? You won't see 35$/per sale offers from sponsors for very long. The only reason it is still offered well, think very hard... |
Bullshit.. its 2008 and a TGP or a simple blog wont make you big bucks anymore. Surfers demand different things these days. Give it to them and cash in. Period.

Tube sites give away the entire thing, no teasing, no enticing, no signing up. |
tube sites will kill 90% of the paysites, cams and dating are still going strong ..... until China becomes democracy and we start seeing "3 hours private chat for $1.95" on every second cam site

I really think it all comes down to the quality of your product.
If your product is comparable to what is on a tube site -- i.e., short, garbage clips, then you are probably in trouble. free garbage >>> pay garbage |

There is no comparison to be made when they take your full product and post it for free. |
Tube sites cannot compare to a good amateur website with member interaction...nor will they ever
Mysites are all going strong |

There is a different, those that are sponsor friendly should be "tube sites", those that steal and give away full movies should be "illegal tube sites". |

I would agree that tubes are hurting some, perhaps many, paysites, but it's a similar scenario from 2001-02 where massive TGP and MGP content damaged members areas operating like it was still 1998. Eventually the bar is raised by industry leaders so high that the stuff far below them becomes devalued. Nowadays it's the tube surfing experience, like it or not, that is the bottom rung. A lot of paysites are actually below the tubes now because they didn't stay on top of things over the years. |
there is plenty of green for all...Just need to change things up a little
|
a porn site that trades traffic/ links to a tube site is operated by an idiot.
without traffic, a tube site is nothing. for some reason some porn sites, of any type , trade traffic with tube sites.... |
He's right - it's all over. Time to start looking for mainstream employment - tell me how that goes :)

My sites, and business has double and tripled the last three years. So obviously my members and patrons didn't get the memo. :winkwink: |
They want make it easy, thats for sure
|
I think the key is to give the surfer intangibles that tube sites dont give. Chat, Live Cam, Answer member emails, etc, etc

I agree here to some degree. I don't think tube sites are great for the industry, guys can still wack off to a 20 minute shitty quality video. But if people want to see anything of quality they still pay. |
not true. tubes will not end adult internet.

The average long term retention in this industry hasn't dropped. Now, the natural trail to convert ratios have, but a simple upgrade script solves that problem. Just recently CCBill had a client reach 99 rebills, on several members, making them reset the limits. (That's 8.25+ years retention)
The market is changing, the traffic is moving, sources are much more broad and even larger than ever before. Tubes will never beat out Paysites just like Social Media will never replace News. Pay Per Signup is here to stay, it creates far far far more income than Revshare programs and has only gotten stronger over the last 10 years. It's easier to cover the costs on a PPS today than it was even 6 years ago - Retention isn't a factor when it has remained about the same. The prime for our business is GONE, it will never return. But that doesn't mean you can't get the sales/income you once had. Previous traffic was all tied into a few major sources in this business, a few major players owned the majority of traffic - which they shared. Today, the few traffic sources have now turned into 1000's of unique sources - the people have moved - just as they have done before and just like they will continue to do. I do not read the same news sites as I once did, I don't enjoy the same sites I once did, or games, just about everything online for me has changed. Even from 2 weeks ago, 2 years, and 10 years, the changes are huge. If this change has happened to me then it's safe to assume the change happens for everyone. And that's why I think you have to adapt, change, and always be on the move in this Business - or you will get simply be left behind like so many already have been. |
