I went mac a month ago - mac pro - dual quad's. Still getting used to the OS , but I like it so far.

Faster clock speed is better for gaming. Most games don't really do better with quad vs duo.

they probably gonna cheap out on your motherboard

yup.. duo is better, only 1 or 2 games can even utilize quad.. quad is better for graphics/rendering, but for everything else get a fast duo.. overclock that baby and ur offf
