People sometimes laugh when I nearly always have some type of security with me,guess it just shows to be carefull.

Im from BC and only a year younger it made me shiver :(


VANCOUVER - The body of a young British Columbia model has been found near Shanghai in what Chinese police are reportedly a treating as a homicide.

Diana Gabrielle O'Brien, 22, of Salt Spring Island had been working for one of China's leading modelling agencies since mid-June. RCMP were asked to notify O'Brien's family on Salt Spring Island, located between Vancouver Island and the B.C. mainland, by the federal Foreign Affairs Department on Monday.

"At this point the information we have is so limited that we don't really know what happened," Ben Berry, the older brother of O'Brien's boyfriend Joel, said Monday.

Comparing yourself to a model is simply delusional on your part. You are light-years away from being a model, sweetheart. You needing security is like sticking a Big Mac in a fire proof safe, inside a vault, for fear that someone might steal it.

Not too mention this happened in CHINA. Maybe in China you'd need security, Claire, but I highly doubt it even there.

Anyway you should be more worried about the women's feet they keep finding on the beach there in BC.

The comments reffered to the fact that girls in general travelling the world to shows and parties should make sure they have basic safety issues covered .:)

I am sure that they will be looking into this since the Olympics are just around the corner.

There is something more to this than just simple murder though. I've been there and know quite a few people that live there and there are very few murders. Something is up for sure. Perhaps a crime of passion?

I have never brought anyone along for security; the last thing I need is another body wandering around the shoot, distracting us. I did have one problem about a year ago; guy was new and didn't understand how things worked, tried to follow me in the bathroom and take pictures of me changing. I tried to "educate" him, but he seemed dense, so I told him I wasn't going to waste our time since he decided to take it upon himself to change the terms of the shoot and split. I had another guy try to kiss me a couple of years ago in a basement in London... got some great shots, but again, I split when things got weird. I'd like to say I keep things totally professional at my shoots, but fuck, if we aren't making bank and the guy is hot, why not, eh? I just like to be in control, so I get really turned off when a guy starts coming on too strong - I like to be the chauvinistic pig!

I did, however, get a little nervous driving through Skid Row in Los Angeles late at night on my scooter - I hate those red lights - I can't roll the windows up to keep the crazies out! I packed my cattle prod into my backpack, and felt like a demented superhero lol.

When I go out by myself in Hollywood, people tell me to watch out for creepy guys on the street. My answer: "Who is gonna protect them from ME?" :pimp

I guess it depends on the worldwide publicity but l think they will simply make up a statement thats looks good just to get it out of the way.

Don't tell anyone, but the cattle prod doesn't really do much... just scares the living fuck outta guys... A girl with a knife usually looks pretty silly, as most chicks are too afraid to actually use one - it can always get taken from you, then used on you...
