What was your high school job?
 

Assuming that you did have an after school and/or summer job. I worked for a little bit at CVS drug store but then I moved to the job I had from when I was 16 until 19 which was working at a movie theater. That was actually a really nice job for that age. What did you do?

I worked for The Wiz, an electronics store in the NYC area, and i delivered pizza. Pizza was the best job ever. Free food and about 15 bucks an hour with tips cash. You feel like a king at 17 with that kinda money :)

Construction Yards, it's fucking hard job over summer but what the heck, now i am strong :)

9 years old delivered newspapers

11 years old mowed lawns

13 years umpired cricket

14 years old work demolition & excavation

15 years old worked in a hamburger shop

16 years old drove escorts around

17 years old nightclub security

18 years old debt collection

Should have retired then.

First, I sold computers, then I was employed writing 6502 assembly for OEM projects. Yes, I was still in highschool.

I was hustling Cable TV when I should have been in High School
Not quite a job.. but alot more dough

I didn't even make middle school.

my high school job was downloading html news files for a company, was a weird job when I was 15 but I was the best at it out of 80+ employees doing it

in high school i was telemarketer. started when i was 15. was top salesman very often, outperformed even the managers at selling. was working on non hour based commission before my friends were even getting checks, realized by 17 that a person only had to work as hard as he wanted to.

i also managed to learn golf good enough to have a 4 handicap.. i was also the golfcart dude.

Did it pay much?

Construction during all of my Jr. & Sr. high school summers.

While attending school I worked for 24-Hour Video (aka RedHot), and Goldstein & Chan, a Jewish & Chinese restaurant.

I never got to enjoy summer vacation like the rest of my class mates & friends.

Worked at a Exclusive Country club cleaning shoes.

Always kept my ears open and bought my first bit of stock on a tip. made 300$ profit.

I was making 5.25 per hour plus tips when all my friends were making 3.15

I couldn't have imagined working in anything adult while still in school. I saved that for about two years out of school..lol

I did some dog washing the summer before high school. Then in high school I made the dance/drill team and learned how to fundraise selling candy.

When I hit my goals for the team, I'd end up making my own money selling additional candy. I learned how easy a teen girl in a short skirt can make profit, and I didn't break any rules or compromise my own integrity. :1orglaugh

I already was a webmaster back then..... Just not in adult.

I was:

A snowboard instructor in the winter
Camp counsellor in the summer
movie store during school year
sporting goods store during the school year

I also washed and waxed cars at a funeral place for a year which was pretty fun.

I worked at the local horsetrack cleaning the stands and the bar. It was a pretty decent job for high school. My best friends mom was my boss and we didn't have any set hours as long as what needed to be done, got done.

i used to clean tile floors and carpets. it was pretty killer i was 17 and had my own work van lol not to mention i smoked a lot of pot on the job which made it all the better i guess.

Grocery Store for what seemed like for ever, mowed lawns from age 12-17 as well. Computer tech the last few years of high school as well.

i worked as a sales clerk in a department store.

washing dishes in a bakery, then delivering pizza.

Was doing marketing online at 13

Quit highschool at 17 to work more because school was getting the way

Well i did few websites and translating from english to Croatian.

Lemme think. High school...

I delivered papers for about 2 weeks.
I worked at a grocery store (bagger).
I worked at the King (Burger King) summer between jr & sr year.
I worked at another grocery store (bagger).

I think that covers high school.

12 - pulling weeds in yards
13 - working on a ranch as a hired hand. it included mowing, painting fence, chucking hay bales, trimming trees, digging trenches for conduit. built character though.
16 - western restaurant, bussing tables, and building computers for family/friends.
18 - started working in the sign industry.

Learned how to do modular housing foundations working with my dad when I was 13-15 during the summers. Turned 16 bought a truck with the money I saved and started my own business doing the same work for 10 local housing companies. Had 10 employees and was making over $800 a day by the time I turned 17. Lived the high life for a while when I was 18 buying cars, throwing parties, I had a good teenage life.

I started at 12 working in a shop sold that bagels,then sold newspaper subscriptions, delivered newspapers for awhile. In HS I worked as a dishwasher for a restaurant.

I started off cooking at Sonic. Then I discovered that you could make money by having parties. We'd get kegs and sell cups at the door. If you were drinking and you didn't have a cup, you got booted out. The cops were a lot more mellow then than they are today. I wouldn't even think of doing that these days.

I always figured I would own a bar eventually.

Burger Kind and Bradless. Started working at 14 and more often had two jobs.

I used to put stickers on the back of the cars ... a dangerous gig indeed.
