i am digging chrome... seems faster than ie...

what have you liked so far about it?

found any cool tricks?

it seems very fast but one strange thing I noticed. Even when its closed, I keep getting pop ups from my firewall google is trying to transmit out.

Nothing NO mac version

send them a message... sending outgoing packets when app is closed seems odd...

Thats what I thought I will do that.

Fast page loading is nice, but I feel naked without all my extensions.

its pretty fast . I like how it makes a thumbnail of the sites you view and you can save them.

So far it's fast. Kind of simple interface but that's not bad. Didn't import most of my favorites so I have to do that manually. I do like the bookmarks bar. IE 8 has this too. It's a beta like IE 8 so I don't expect it to be perfect. I also like how the tabs are ABOVE the adress bar.

no roboform :(

im sure it will be a matter of days or a week or so for roboform to get something out. i hope

Some nice features for sure, actually a worthwhile product, unlike Google Talk and a number of other things they have released recently. The tabs above the bar, and using tabs as default is great. I personally never got used to using tabs in firefox, even though I know a lot of people did, but within chrome it seems very natural already. Not sure if I will keep running it or switch back to firefox yet.

i dont see any default settings to clear "i look at porn online" type close session and clear all cookies kind of bullshit. :thumbsup

considering ie 8 and the new moz are going this route i would have no problems putting a DL chrome link in the members area and support pages.

No roboform is my only hangup. I love FF3 but Chrome has a ton of potential. I'll be very interested to see what it can do when it's out of beta.

There's an entire "incognito" mode.

I like that the tabs is in the titlebar, saves some space that way.

The only thing that I dislike is that I can't use Roboform.

Not sure if this is what you are loking for, but if you go to the tools icon it has a "clear browsing data" option. I know IE has "porn mode" you can turn on before you surf so you don't have to remember to clear the data I don't see that option yet with Chrome.

Also I forgot to mention I'm kind of perplexed why google doesn't have a toolarbar for it's own browser.

you're right. I just found it. Like IE 8 I hate the fact you have to open it in another window and not in the current one you're using.

The most positive thing about it is that it will provide an undisputed proof that firefox fanboys are a joke. It will prove that firefox users were not using firefox because it's a good browser, they were using it because they thought it sounded cool. Now if chrome becomes next cool thing, all of them worthless fanboys will switch to it and will start praising chrome like it's holy grail - not because it's a good browser, but because that's what fanboys do. They are brainless fags without opinion and just follow the herd like blind sheep.

for me firefox still loads faster

i still havent figured this out yet, but with chrome you can hotlink internet apps and bring them down the desktop with a icon and then you can run the app without opening the browser...
going to try it with mail and see what happens...

aha... use the dropdown next to tool dropdown on right and choose create app shortcut..

I'll stick to FireFox (and my 20+ plug-ins for it) for now.

Chrome can very easily become some serious competition for Microsoft and Mozilla, however for the moment, the 2.0 rule is in effect here, for sure.

I think its a little faster than Firefox - it's also very simple and clean. Lots of downs thought, but no doubt it will get better since its only in Beta right now. Add-ons would be nice.

Hate the bookmarks option though. Couldn't work out how to pull out a drop down menu of my favorites so I went back to firefox for now.

I don't use it. What can you say about Chrome's defense?

they tried to hard to make the interface clean looking now some shit is hard to find:( also i dont like my exchange webmail looks like shit as it does in firefox..

For the rest its fast and simple good stuff:) just a little too simple maybe like Gtalk

For me right now, the huge advantage that Chrome has is it's separate processes that you can dig into with it's very own Task Manager.

Keeping each tab, plugin, javascript, etc to it's own separate process (cpu and mem usage) is a brilliant idea, especially when one goes wrong and you need to kill only that single process.

It has a lot of other great features and stands a great chance at becoming real competition once more features are added on (which anyone can do since it's open source) but for me, right now, it's the task manager/separate processes that sets it apart.

At HPIC.com we are paying $50 per $1 trial sent to any of our sites on Fridays 5th and 19th of September.

This sucker is mega fast - I'm waaaaaay diggin so far and just installed it about 10min ago

Because it installs GoogleUpdate.exe (look in your task manager) which runs every hour or so calling home. GoogleUpdate.exe also runs at Windows startup, even if you uninstall Chrome.

I think Chrome is a nice start. Seems fast and snappy, although it tends to render pages with alot of images a bit slow. I'm digging the "inspect this element" feature.

Until there is a comparable Adblock Plus extension (or extensions at all), I won't be switching from FF :winkwink: Not to mention all the talk going on right now about their EULA

I like that it's taken a few slots here that are usually dedicated to politics and/or religion, otherwise, it's just a dumb fucking shit browser.
