I think President George W. Bush is going to

go down in history as THE WORST or one of the the worst presidents of all time in the history of the United States. I bet in History classes and political debates 50 years from now he is going to be remembered as a moron who didn't have any business running the most powerful country in the world and was the "dumbest president in the history of America!".

seeric 10-21-2008 11:01 AM

i wouldn't dispute that.

i have way more respect for nixon after this douchebags terms. at least he was a crook. there's nothing noble about looking like a monkey for 8 years.

clickhappy 10-21-2008 11:05 AM

It depends on how Iraq turns out. If it turns out to be some utopia there and a good place for us to have bases then he'll be seen as brilliant.

Damm, that was well said:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:thumbsup

I bet if Obama wins, you will say the same thing about Obama in 4 years.

I like Obama, but I think his economic policies will wreck the US.

The Duck 10-21-2008 11:11 AM

50 years from now he will be taught to children as the great hero who saved humanity from the evil terrorists.

Yes and if this economic crisis makes all americans rich then he'll be a genius. And if everyone who died at the Superdome during Katrina goes to heaven he'll be a saint. And if the patriot act stops "9/11 return of the clones" he'll be a visionary. And if the millions of refugees he created from Iraq can return home without being shot then he will be philanthropist.

Until all of this happens he will just be a piece of shit and the WORST AMERICAN BORN HUMAN OF ALL TIME!

DWB 10-21-2008 11:16 AM

Agreed.

He is a war criminal and should be tried as such.

Dame 10-21-2008 11:17 AM

I personally think Bush is one of the worst presidents in my lifetime but as some like to say, the history books have not really been written yet on how his presidency will end or what he will have affected in the long term.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-21-2008 11:17 AM

Yeah pretty much. G.W will go down in history as a complete fuck tard.

50 years from now it will be taught how he was an illegal president that illegally forced a country into a war and almost took down the greatest nation on earth! The debates will be if he was a dictator or not, could or should he have been tried as a war criminal during his presidency. And prob how blind the sheep of America were for allowing the patriot act to happen. I'm sure that entire subject is another 100 year of debate.

Schools and colleges for many years afterwards will discuss how his policies, ideas, war, ect played out, and why "every" idea the man has had, has failed.

I can't wait to make sure my kids know about this dark history of our Country so "maybe" they don't repeat the mistake we did.

stickyfingerz 10-21-2008 11:51 AM

The same shit was said about Reagan too. He was voted Americas favorite president a few years back in a national televised poll. :thumbsup

Based off the selection of the last 40 years, the pickings are slim.

Most of the right/republicans LOVE Reagan. And I have no idea why. His ideas, policies, thoughts and theories, all but a few, failed. They just like the 'idea' of the man, not what he actually did. I bet if you asked these same people, what he did as president that makes them like him, they can't answer.

It was Presidents from George Washington till George W. Bush. Not the last 40 years.

you mean because our economy is in such great shape right now?

theres not much obama can do to make anything worse. if anything, he will be credited with fixing it.

Well... I say 40 years because people go with what they know and can't remember what they learned.

No way these people are going to say Reagan was a better president than George Washington, and several of our early presidents. Clearly this group of polled morons do not know the basic history and greatness of our early leaders.

Phoenix 10-21-2008 12:11 PM

nothing bad will be said of him...friends in high places and all that
school history books will no doubt praise him as one of the great men of the last 50 years etc

pigman 10-21-2008 12:14 PM

And the current policies have everything booming?

Khulan 10-21-2008 12:48 PM

100% agreed. Hopefully, Obama will do pretty new things in the US. It's time to grow again.

Well said.
It's unfortunate how history works though. We always look back on the citizens and say "Why didn't they do something?"

So I have to wonder even now... why didn't we?

I wish the US had the no confidence vote like Parliamentary systems do. This mess would have been over 5 years ago.

I imagine history "books" will not be anything like we know of them today. Schools have outdated actual books, many of which do not even have correct world maps. I would imagine in the not so distant future the idea of a history book in school will be something they read about or watch in a current digital edition viewed on a computer of some sort.

Even then our ideas and thoughts have been archived for the future- excluding full on meltdown of all technology. The words we type now, the thoughts, arguments, videos, and everything else we do online will be available and part of history. We have more informational access than ever before in human history and it will not be rolling back in 10, 20, 40, or 50 years time. Digital formats remember forever, were past history was written by the victors and what they wanted others to think, hell nobody is left that remembers.

J. Falcon 10-27-2008 06:16 AM

What does that say about the people who elected him TWICE?

Either that or that he was the evil terrorist.

EscortBiz 10-27-2008 06:21 AM

or he will go down as the president with some serious bad luck, got into office 911 hit, the real estate market was already cooking and even the brightest now say they didnt see it coming to this level

Lets see what happens the next 4 years regardless who the president is id like to see this country turn around but should there be more surprises from the financial world or war related I would not blame the new president

denny007 10-27-2008 06:48 AM

50 years from now people will give as much fuck about GW Bush as they give now about Dwight D. Eisenhower...

Right, it was all bad luck, and had nothing to do with his own policies or the decisions he made. 911 was bad luck too, as was his invasion of Iraq.

You would have to become a *GASP* socialist to get those kind of benefits. :2 cents:

Sorry but no. Brilliant, top of the class Harvard grad by his own merit, constitutional law professor, mega high IQ vs. "C" average cowboy, Bachelors in History, got in because of money and family connections... Wishful thinking but there is no comparison and there never will be.

Penny Flame 10-27-2008 08:22 AM

if parents are having issues with schools teaching children about gay marriage then how will they feel about teaching them the truth about Bush? As airek said, they don't even teach em that nixon was a bad president, just a crook, although being a crook doesn't necessarily make him a bad president.

I agree, worst president of the worst, but its all if's and but's and schools have never been very good at teaching what really went down.

History changes every time they reprint history books. ugly ugly ugly

Anyone that thinks Bush is the worst knows little of US History. One of the worst, perhaps. The worst, not close.

:2 cents:

crockett 10-27-2008 10:10 AM

Shit in 20 years the Right wing will be praising him like they do Ronald Regan today. Back when Regan was president they all hated him too, now he's like the greatest thing since sliced bread for the GOP.

Just look at McCain as a example.. When the race first started 90% of the Republican's couldn't stand him and he was a long shot. Now two years later they all just love him, so given history's record they will be claiming Bush jr was the best pres ever in a few years.
