Techimedia: simple ticket request 4 hours so far

People who host there: what's the normal ticket response time?

I asked to create three pop3 accounts for my domains.

It's been 4 hours.

Is this normal? :helpme

"hey could you please expedite my ticket, i need this done soon if possible thanks" :thumbsup

After Shock Media 03-10-2009 01:03 PM

If you did not add a high urgency to your ticket it could take a little bit of time, as the techs could very well be dealing with other tickets that were listed higher. Often tickets can take just minutes for simple tasks, however they do get busy on occasion and small things with low urgency can take a bit of time. Also check actual ticket center for a response, sometimes it may be waiting for a reply and the email did not make it through. Personally I would not trade their hosting for any other.

sometimes getting on the phone is not only faster, makes you feel more connected to the service you are using. I know in the past with hosting issues, i got on the phone and not just open a ticket and wait and hope it gets fixed, i get on the phone like a businessman.

fusionx 03-10-2009 01:04 PM

2 to 3 minutes for first response. I think you're full of shit, personally.

I could post a screenshot, but i just can't be assed right now.

Wiredoctor 03-10-2009 01:09 PM

Dude you must be nuts techie never takes more than a few mins to do any tickets unless maybe they are waiting on some reply from you for something? This simply just does not happen with techie so there must be more to this story.

Snake Doctor 03-10-2009 01:11 PM

You have this thing with bashing hosts don't you?

I remember you starting shit with natnet because they don't offer ICQ support (any host who does it just asking for trouble IMO)

I hosted with Techie for years and support was the best thing about them. Unless you intentionally set a "low" priority on the ticket when creating it, I don't believe your story.

Not to mention, is a new email account a critical thing? It's keeping you from making money right now because you don't have "[email protected]" ??

Gimme a fucking break

fusionx 03-10-2009 01:15 PM

All of my tickets (37 on one account alone) look like this:

Not normal at all, when I file a ticket, no matter how complex I get an answer/action within seriously 2-3 minutes at the most.

Techie Media 03-10-2009 01:25 PM

Davey jones, first of all let me in on something, we answer the phone, icq emails and Tickets withinn 2 mintes ALWAYS. OK now I just looked at your ticket and it was done in approx 1/2 hr but then you wanted to make some changes to the user names, but you wanted an @ symbol in the email user name, we do not allow that and that was explained to you in the ticket. Since then we have been waiting on you to reply to the ticket, and also we have sent you ICQ qnd you havent replied to that either. Not sure what more I can do for you?

Sorry if i made some typos...LOL

And a great big thanks to all of you who posted here on our behalf.

Fuck off, you retard. First of all i didnt start shit with NatNet. I just asked if they had ICQ support or not, cause I wasnt fond of ticket system. And looks like I was right about it.

So I created a ticket at Techimedia. Very simple task, add 3 pop3 accounts. I selected Medium urgency.

It's been about 5 hours now. And I just got a reply that says: "Sorry, but login can't contain @."

Since when can't pop3 account usernames look like this: [email protected]

LOL.

Password: 123456

I have this set up like this on other hosts and it's easy and not messy.

fusionx 03-10-2009 01:35 PM

What is there to show?

Ticket was opened several hours ago and it's still not resolved.

I simply asked to set up a few pop3 accounts.

yes, you can post it, just edit out the domains info.

slapass 03-10-2009 01:40 PM

This is not normal for them. But shit happens so I would call. If you have been there a while you know stuff like this is normally done in minutes.

Dude shut the fuck up IDIOT. Nobody here asked for a host referral, TechieMedia is by far one of the best in the biz, and if anyone wants to pretend thjey are a teech they also can get a control panel to set up emails. This Davey Jones dude is an idiot and hasnt replied to jim once. I've been with Techiemedia a long time and they blow the doors of most hosts and are by far one of thew best hosts and networks in the biz....... Now go piss off shit head.

HUH? "stupid stuff?"

Setting up email via control panel takes seconds, it takes longer to send a ticket. I knot youre just trolling, but id rather be in charge of my server than have to beg customer service guys to do something i could do myself in seconds.

As i said, took more of your time to make this thread and send ticket than to log into your server and create the 3 accts.

are you dedicated or virtual?

The guy is wrong. I didnt photoshop anything. First of all i dont know how to, and second, i think you can check the graphic files and see if they been changed or not.

That's why i said he can post his own screenshots.

oh here we go, some macho tough guy LOL

I use more than 5 hosts for my network, I am surprised you have to email to get an email acct set up.

Now you can continue with your immature behavior because i didnt do anything wrong, webair is not the only host i use, want me to plug them all? LOL

I didnt link them or spam them, ai am genuinely surprised as I have set up all my own emails for years figured this was standard lol

Dude, I dont know how to do this stuff, okay? I'm good at other things and i dont want to learn server administration. I pay people to do it for me. Ticket takes less than a min to create.

It's a dedicated server. It's not cheap. If i wanted a control panel i would have gone for some $50/month host.

After Shock Media 03-10-2009 01:46 PM

Fletch I know I use techie for doing it all for me. I know they would give me a control panel if I asked, I just never wanted it and would much rather just send in tickets to get anything done. Some people really do not want to deal with it nor be in charge of their servers - plus no one has to beg for anything with them.

Dude we are cool which is why I asked.

Its cool, really, i dont know what kind of door i opened here lol but i was just surprised that you had to email to have that done.

hope it all works out then man, i wasnt saying anything negative about you or techie, just surprised you needed to email to have it done...

Oh, looks like I missed that reply.

Why can't email accounts contain @ ? You never explained, just said that "Sorry, but login can't contain @. "

I have it on other hosts, and it works fine. Am I an asshole for asking to have something set up they way i'm used to?

I am realizing that maybe my personal experience is not the norm, really. I have dedicated and use multiple hosts, and as i said above when I need a new email i log in and create it. it takes less time than tickets, that was all i said.

What did i say that offended so many here? geez... you got people spam hosts all day, I mentioned "email is easy" and sand flies in everyones vaginas? LOL

This is bogus, 100%. Check your spam folder for the response that came in 3 hours 55 minutes ago.

HorseShit 03-10-2009 01:55 PM

Davey Jones isn't asking for two @'s in an email address. He's simply asking for his email login/username to contain the full email address which isn't that abnormal, get with it people.
