right now college kids are being hit with mandatory federal sentences because they were caught with pot and have financial aid and loans pulled. receivers of federal funds cant have drug charges.

I saw a story about something like this a few years ago. A 16 year old girl sent erotic photos to her teen boyfriend and both were charged with CP charges.

1. The little girl in question deserves to be punished, so do her parents. That kind of idiocy can't just be shrugged off as "kids will be kids".

2. labelling her a sex offender is taking it too far. Punishment is warranted, but authorities are twisting Megan's Law a little too far here.

First off when people like this wendy person make stupid fucking statements. This is where the FSC should be answering this with news releases letters to the editor or a possible interview. People say this shit and since no one answers it in peoples minds it become fact.

That's the issue. They do seem to want these charges to carry the sex offender label and it seems they really want to start pursuing these sort of cases more the way they're talking about it in the news. Is creating criminals out of normal everyday people really the answer? Let's start charging any kid who looked at any porn with being a sex offender. Let's label everyone under 18 who has sex a criminal. Let's just start branding and imprisoning anyone under 18 who even thinks about sex, and public execution for unwed teenage mothers!

Where are the parents? It was most likely in the parents house, with the parents phone/camera, on the parents computer, with the parents internet connection that all these crimes were committed. The parents should be the only ones responsible for these actions. :2 cents:

Kids these days have online access from a myriad of sources (on my street alone my wifi picks up at least half a dozen unsecured signals from neighbours). Libraries have wifi...coffee shops - all kinds of places.
