Godaddy?

They have the lowest prices I know of. Anyone use them? Any other good registrars?

I guarantee to match or beat (in most cases) almost any offer out there :thumbsup

Iron Fist 05-10-2009 01:34 AM

I wonder what the "other benefits" consists of...

Sounds too good to be true. :1orglaugh

Then again, we are in a recession.

So, uh..
You want a model to let you be her webmaster..
and you're asking questions like, "Is Godaddy okay?"

closer 05-10-2009 11:57 AM

Godaddy.com definitely for .com .net and .org

If you pay the VIP membership of about $80 per year, you only pay $7.29 per domain and still get all the features other registrars offer for $25 - $35 per year. You do not need to bulk register in this case. So if you own about 40+ domain names this would be interesting to you.

Otherwise, subscribe to their newsletter, there are almost weekly discount coupon offers.

Great Tip :thumbsup

If you only want to register one domain or renew at a time the VIP club is a nice deal.

The newsletter today contains a 20 percent discount code ....add everything up together and you can make some sweet $$$$ savings .:thumbsup :)

Looking forward to seeing you again at CyberNetExpo Dave :thumbsup :winkwink:

stickyfingerz 05-10-2009 03:32 PM

Ill stick with moniker and my pricing less than 8.00 for .coms and being able to talk to someone I know personally that won't fuck me over. :2 cents: Been slowly moving all my godaddy domains away from them.

Sorry on the dumb double post. The board froze up.

SmutGiant 05-10-2009 04:26 PM

I use http://www.w3go.com

AAB 05-10-2009 04:30 PM

I have all of my domains with GoDaddy. You don't need special membership to get good rates. Just use well approved and long term working OYH3 code and get good deals on domain names.

I only use different registrar for .ca domain names, cause GoDaddy is still overpriced in that regard.

CYF 05-10-2009 05:49 PM

I moved most of my domains away from godaddy. Too many horror stories for me. http://www.NoDaddy.com

Namecheap, fabulous, and moniker are good.

A .us with godaddy is something like 18 bucks, it's 8.81 at namecheap.

stop with the misinformation :2 cents:

just went to godaddy and registered a .us for 8.99 without using any coupon

J. Falcon 05-10-2009 06:01 PM

I use them, no problems

From Godddy:

.us

SALE!
$8.99/yr
save $11.00! <----- *******SAVE $11.

8.99 + 11.00 = $19.99.

More expensive than the "something like 18 bucks" I said. Just because you get a sale price without a coupon doesn't mean I'm posting misinformation. I stand by what I said.

CYF 05-10-2009 11:31 PM

Oh, and a .us is $8.88 at namecheap, I said $8.81. Sorry about that.

us $8.88/yr $8.88/yr Show Details

Raf1 05-10-2009 11:50 PM

a lot of people had problems with godaddy in the past. I wonder how they handle their business now?

Only problem I ever had was with German domain names.
Don't use them for registering adult .de (Germany) names as they will block the DNS as soon as they notice there is an adult site on it, even if your servers are outside Germany.

Well as the biggest domain registrar l guess some things had to happen......but yes service has improved ...ask Dave above, you wouldnt want 14,000 of your domains sitting with them if you didnt get good service .....

try them again im sure you will be impressed :)

st0ned 05-11-2009 08:57 AM

You get what you pay for. Do a little research on Godaddy and you probably wont feel too comfortable keeping your domain portfolio with them. Unfortunately I started with them and have been transferring the 700+ domains I have there over to Moniker. I would highly suggest going with them, great pricing, great support, and piece of mind knowing that my portfolio will be safe.

markethustler 05-11-2009 10:03 AM

I have never had any problems using godaddy ;O)
