Nice deal there. I'm sure those review style pages would do nicely.

Tom_PM 05-11-2009 10:13 AM

BUMP for true innovation! Dont register domains and leave them parked on your registrars servers ever again!

Nicky 05-11-2009 10:24 AM

Looks pretty nice. I have some domains I'll try park.

Lonny 05-11-2009 10:32 AM

just moved a domain over waiting for the DNS to take. will finish editing the info as soon as the move is complete. like Brujah said "It's about time someone did this!".

The Dawg 05-11-2009 10:38 AM

* thumbs up *

Furious_Male 05-11-2009 10:45 AM

This is a good idea. I generally do this on my own but this would save a ton of time.

E$_manager 05-11-2009 10:49 AM

really great news!

DaddyHalbucks 05-11-2009 10:51 AM

Smart move, I'm surprised no one did it sooner.

LiveDose 05-11-2009 11:03 AM

Good timing... Domain parking is on the decline for sure.

Vitasoy 05-11-2009 11:14 AM

Any chance of a bulk import and a domain forwarding option?

bulk import ain't a bad idea. we might add a 'apply settings from this domain' feature, too.
but the real value of our domain program is its built-in SEO/customization options.
you wouldn't want to necessarily duplicate the backend of all of your MILF domains and potentially ruin the "uniqueness" of each.
with our program, if you set it up right, you won't just get type-ins...capturing search engine traffic is also what makes it so cool.

What happens when you go ahead and decide to develop the domain into a real site? Are there implications for that?

Is this only a good idea for domains you don't plan to develop yourself?

Honez 05-11-2009 12:09 PM

All those looks and intelligence too ;)

Fabulous idea.

you can do anything you want to domains you own.
park them, develop them, deep-fry them...it's up to you.
so, yes, you can develop it into a real site.

The Dawg 05-11-2009 12:12 PM

Is there a way to change the thumbs that dont match the website?

#7 - 9

Easton 05-11-2009 12:13 PM

a very excellent idea!

JackJones75 05-11-2009 12:13 PM

NOTE: In the Link Trades Section...alot of webmasters are forgetting to put their linkcodes in there. I'll put a little sentence in there to remind you.

Well yeah I understand you can still use your domains... :P

Just saying as far as search engines go etc, is it a wise idea to use a parking service for a domain that you intend to use for a large site down the road, or is it better to leave the domain inactive?

xxxjay 05-11-2009 12:37 PM

Most original idea I've seen in ages.

umbralui 05-11-2009 12:39 PM

My thinking is that it's gotta be better than allowing a registrar to park it (dont they all park them if you dont supply nameservers? I think they do).
In either case your question is a good one, but not sure who could answer it best without working for the SE directly, ya know?

At least this way, it's got some relevance AND a chance for you to make some $.

FrozenJag 05-11-2009 01:35 PM

Kick ass job guys. Gonna give this a try most definetly!

Typical domain parking services your concerns are very valid IMO.

However this setup if done right you will actually hold an advantage when you go to develop your site. Many people probably thing google will penalize you but if you got inbound links and decent seo and then you completely change the design but maintain your core seo like inlinks, title, major text, etc then you will be just fine.

BlackCrayon 05-11-2009 01:45 PM

too bad its not per click. i will probably try it out regardless though.

datatank 05-11-2009 01:59 PM

Are you paying royalties to the guy whos landers your copied ;-)

When I change name servers for one of my domains to ns1.pimpserve.com and ns2.pimpserve.com what links it to my PimpRoll account? If this is only done so by me adding the domains to my PimpRoll account, what is to prevent others from adding my domains on purpose or by accident and if nothing whos account would get credit for it. Also if I got 100s of domains, do I have to add them all individually?

i'm not sure i understand your question..you do realize that you still have to put your PIMPROLL linkcodes on the parking page, right?

and last time i checked, only the OWNER of a domain name was able to change its nameservers...so, i'm lost.

brassmonkey 05-11-2009 03:22 PM

sounds good

XPays 05-11-2009 03:40 PM

interesting, good luck!

Brujah 05-11-2009 04:41 PM

Should get an award for one of the best offers this year.

Right, so if I do this I was trying to figure out what enabled you to associate traffic to my domain to my PimpRoll affiliate account. Is the association made merely by adding the domain to my affiliate account?
